i'm sure Itachi will leave Sasuke with another parting gift. With Naruto becoming stronger and stronger, Kishi is going to have give Sasuke some upgrades so that Sasuke can keep up, which i think is heading in the direction of Sasuke becoming the main villain.

It's unlikely that Itachi would willingly empower Sasuke any further. One thing has became obvious after the battle against Edo Nagato, Itachi is on Naruto's side. Wouldn't make much sense for Itachi to leave Sasuke one last souvenir unless it would be a poisoned gift which I honestly can't picture him doing.
But you have a point there if Sasuke is destined to fight Naruto in an all out final battle he will need an upgrade and we all know plot no jutso does wonders.
It would make more sense, logic wise, if Kishi "powered down" Naruto by blocking the Ninetails somehow, or maybe putting it under genjutso than to again gift an upgrade to Sasuke, specially if that means Itachi losing his aura of being the good guy always thinking on peace and the wellbeing of his village.

That would mean Sasuke would be facing probably the strongest character alive lacking half of his power, one of his precious eyes. It's highly unlikely and not of Sasuke at all. That plan would be something I would expect of part one Naruto, but not of cold blood and cool mind Sasuke.

He could in theory. but maybe he would need to remake the human sacrifices which take time. Also he would need to spend time in order to spread them all over the battle field again. Meanwhile the shinobi forces would regroup, share info and the Kages would be free to jump in Naruto's fight which would most likely be a major mess for Tobi, not to mention that the former Jinchuriki Tobi is using as paths are also Edo tensei which would result should the technique be canceled in Tobi relying on paths that can be destroyed. And to top it all after this gap he would have to go against the shinobi forces with fewer Edo's, as many of them have already been sealed and with no element of surprise. For Kabuto and Tobi calling the Edo tensei off is bad news.

We can also infer that Izanami makes one lose ones eyesight, but doesn't make their eyes close permanently. Unlike Izanagi.

you just put something out there. i wanted to talk about this before everyone started talking about izanami so i can safely say that sasuke will not go blind after using this.the only reason itachi went blind there was because he does not have ems but sasuke does have ems meaning that he will not go blind...this could be the thing that puts sasuke over naruto i dont like it but imo if sasuke can spam this is over for naruto

You do remember Itachi saying that like Izanagi, Izanami is a technique that costs the user it's sharingan. If it wasn't the case for EMS users don't you think Madara would have already spammed it let's say against Hashirama or the 5 Kages?

I don't think your theory is completely right. If you look at the last panel of the last page you see that Itachi has his hand on Kabuto and isn't holding a sword. Also there are the two panels, one where Itachi's eye hasn't lost ist sight, followed by the panel where it has lost its light, to show separation. Kabuto's mind is stuck in a Itachi's genjutsu and in the loop while the normal world continues on.

In the loop every time Itachi is stabbed it resets, but the actions between are slightly different. Also his eye hasn't lost it's sight, therefor the loop is only in Kabuto's mind.

My theory is that Itachi will disappear when Kabuto releases the edo tensei. Itachi is forcing Kabuto to end the edo tensei because he is leaving Kabuto no other way to end the loop.
