[Discussion] I think i know why inu and neko quarrel.

after reading the latest chapter, i think the reason why inu and neko who were best of friends fall out to become enemies even to the extent of causing a demacation among their subject is in this
PAGE 17 of the chapter (PEKOMAMUSHI).
I strongly believe it has something to do with him,that is he was the cause for the quarrel between INU AND NEKO. Judging by Inu's facial expression when he held the name.
Just my thought, so let's discuss.
WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK.

I think Inu does not know Pekoms is on Zou, so he was wondering who pekomushi was, it has nothing to do with their quarrel imo, I believe their quarrel started because they were unable to save someone dear to both of them and they blame each other for it,

Nekomumishi stole Inu's doggie discuits and inu took neko's lasagna. Theft is punishable by death in feudal japan, they can't kill each other as they are equal, nothing but facts :bdpf:

you know why I thought so,immediately he mentioned pekom name there is uneasy on his face and after that,the minks were talking about their long time quarrel. Do you think it's coincidence?

This. That's also how I interpreted it, I even think there was someone else a few chapters ago who also reacted confused when mamushi was added to Pekoms' name. Either way if it had been because of Pekoms, they wouldn't have been so casual about Pekoms being there. The conflict Inu and Neko have, is a severe one and it seems it started long ago as Carrot wasn't even born while Wanda and Pedro where children when it happened. We also know Neko and Inu know about Udon and his relationship with Roger and such, so my guess is whatever the cause of their conflict, it's something that dates back to around the time of Roger.

Its because at the time of oden's execution they both have chances to rescue him but they got stopped by kaidou or by his men so they both blame each other of why the other one was unable to protect oden from his death. Its just a misunderstanding between each other which become a fight over years.

well it could be that;but what sound interesting is the fact that it was stated that they came back rarely a life and in that state where quarreling,and they don't know what happened.
@caliber may just be 100% correct that it had to do with Oden, but I think them little Pedro ought to know.
Since even the little ones like them carrot who where born after the incident knew about their loyalty to wano, there by putting their life on the line to hide riazio.
2ndly it did have been logical for them to say their quarrel started when king oden died.
