I swear 3 tomoe Tobi > Itachi? Or am I missing something?

I'm sure KA wouldn't work on Tobi. Please explain how else he could defeat Tobi. Well, idk about the KA thing. Tobi knows about it though and could possibly negate it with his own sharingan and counter it. Other than that, you can only defeat Tobi with a S/T tech. I keep saying this though, but Tobi could just suck Itachi into another dimension. Itachi has nothing to counter it with. Amaterasu and Susano'o would be ineffective because Tobi is intangible. Tobi has strong genjutsu himself too.

These arguments in favor of Itachi are weak. Let's think about this rationally for a second.

First of all, Tobi did indeed say that if Itachi knew everything about him he may have been in trouble, but do not forget that this came in reference to a SNEAK ATTACK made by Itachi. Tobi never said that Itachi could beat him in a fight. But after a sneak attack, said that if Itachi had known more about him then his sneak attack might have worked. This in no way means Itachi could beat Tobi 1on1

Secondly, even if Itachi were to know all of Tobi's secrets, saying that Itachi is better than Tobi because of this is still weak. Seriously, how many fights have we seen where one fighter already knew EVERYTHING about their opponent from the beginning? What you people are basically saying is if you give Itachi an unfair advantage, he would be stronger than Tobi. I could turn right around and say if Tobi knows everything about Itachi, then Tobi is stronger. See the foolishness in that? I'll quote Itachi and say this: "Every jutsu has a weakness". Itachi knowing all the secrets to Tobi's techniques would make him stronger, but if thats the only way Itachi could beat Tobi then you are actually doing more to hurt Itachi's rep than add to it by saying this

And Tobi did attack Konoha while Itachi was born, but if you are asking why he didn't attack while Itachi was older? I'll give you two reasons why:

1. He already tried once, and failed
2. He would've been attacking KONOHA. That's every ninja in konoha vs Tobi. Itachi would've been the least of his concerns.

Bottom line, Itachi knew fully well that Tobi intended on trying to use Sasuke after he died, but instead of trying to kill him in a one on one fight, he tried to hit him with a sneak attack. Ask yourself what ninja in their right mind would risk failing with a sneak attack if they knew they had the strength to kill the person anyway? Itachi didn't try to kill Tobi 1on1 because he knew he couldn't do it. It's that simple. Itachi is one of the greatest characters in the manga. And the fight wouldn't be easy for Tobi (Susanoo, yata mirror, the sword), but Tobi obviously had ways of dealing with this (S/T jutsu is pretty hard to overcome without speed). Tobi>Itachi, bottom line.

Well Tobi had the unfair advantage of knowing all about Itachi
And Itachi as seen with Nagato and Kabuto can find out the enemies weakness in the midst of the fight

If Tobi and Itachi were to fight, Itachi would win
Cause he knew Itachi can easily find the weakness in techniques, which is why Tobi didnt want to fight

And the fact that the totsuka sword is a spirit weapon leads me to believe that it can hit Tobi even if hes intangible
And theres nothing saying that tsukuyomi wouldnt work

too many reasons for that....

1st..Tobi knows every thing about itachi( his moves and abilities except KA) as zetsu recorded the itachi vs sasuke fight...While officially itachi doesn't know shyt about Tobi except for thinking that he is Madara...This is crucial cuz knowledge is vital in ninja fights..

2nd..Itachi has nothing to counter S/T. and Tobi can phase through Susanoo and Warp Itachi....While Itachi's Tsukyumi might work on Tobi(as genjutsu can work on intangability)....but as Tobi knows how it works so he can avoid eye contact and wrap him. On the contrary Tobi can also cast genjutsu on Itachi. (and i think Tobi's genjutsu > Itachi's) but still if i say equal ...it could go both ways.

3rd..In the panel where Tobi says to himself that he would be dead if itachi knew everything about him. But Itachi didn't so he can't kill tobi....Knowledge is part of battle.(Tobi's statement is vague as even we don't know everything about tobi so)....but i can take that unimportant as he said that for whatever the case.

4th..No we don't know if Izanami will work on Tobi...But i'm super sure that it won't....he is the only villain who is not clouded by hate or vengence(as Shikaku warned Naruto)....That makes Tobi unique xd he is clear on his objectives and does not doubt himself. That is badass

5th..ok i'll be sarcastic here
if Itachi is > Tobi he could've killed him and saved the world (don't tell me Itachi didn't know about his evil plans :sy: ofc Tobi wasn't planning rainbows and how to make super secret noodles:ice: )

6th.. Why didn't Tobi attack konoha before itachi's death...it might not be Akatsuki's plan at that time....yes that is the best possible explanation....ppl saying tobi got scared of Itachi is sooooo lame that i can't begin mentioning the lameness..
Pain and the rest of the Akatsuki was alive too and if you tell me that PAIN got scared of itachi :sy: then 2 words for ya

The reason why tobi didn't attack konoha was already shown a few chapters back.tobi and itachi made a pact.itachi helps him in getting revenge on the uchihas in exchange of sparing the village.immediately zetsu told him itachi was dead.he heaved a sigh of relief and was like"I don't have to keep our pact anymore.time to move ahead with my plans"..he didn't attack konoha out of fear for itachi but in respect on their deal.
