The welcomed westward breeze created a faint whispering like whistle, as the wind weaved itself in and out of the close knit buildings, picking up the vibrant orange and ruddy red leaves from the floor as it did so, the leaves swirling franticly in a unpatterend flurry as the wind whisked them away into the air. The sun hung low on the horizon, radiating a warm red glow, that upon passing through the thick fluffy sheep clouds scattered into a thousand different hues of orange and red with hints of vibrant purple which cast a beautiful beyond words, yet eerie glow onto the town centre. If Lucy had been able to paint she would have hapily sat down canvas and brush in hand attempting to captivate the beautiful site onto something that would last much longer, but alas she couldn't well more presicely she didn't know if she could, furthermore she thought, it wouldn't be special if she coud look at it all the time.
Lucy continued to walk through the town centre that was teeming with people, towards the Ninja utility district. On the way, she came across a small stand that wafted a scent of fresh homemade deserts and warm melted choclate across the surronding area. The smell soon became irresistible and so Lucy trudged over to the shop. Upon arriving at the shop Lucy soon realised what was producing the delightful smell, it was a donut stand. However the donuts were larger than usual, and wernt ringed but rather mounted on a stick elongated side vertical, they looked extremely fluffy, and crispy on the outside. Upon seeing the various topping that consisted of things like caramel choclate sprinkled toasted almonds maple syrup and of course ice cream with various other toppings and choices of frozen cream, Lucy immeadiatly knew that she had to have one. She quickly delved into a small leather pouch that was tied around her waist and rested upon her left thigh. The leather was a rather rough cut, and was fur like to the touch, however it had done the job of carrying all of the money that Lucy had made over the previous two days from doing small jobs across the village that ordinary people would be unable to do. She quickly withdrew the money she required to pay the man, handing the coins over to the rather elderly decrpid man in exchange for her desert.
"Arigato"
Lucy had said as she walked away with the man swifly replying with
"Its alright enjoy!"
Strangely enough it had been the only word that she and the man had exchanged, but for some reason it felt wrong to break the silence, as if something terribly were happening far away from here, and the rebounds of the event removing the need to speak from the remaining villagers. However Lucy's thoughts soon drifted away as she began to eat her icecream topped donut, she had chosen Vanilla icecream with Hazelnut and coconut sprinkles and caramel as her topping. Lucy soon devoured the delectable treat, throwing her wrapper into a nearby bin as she walked to the largest Ninja Utility shop. This time however, she hadn't felt the need to keep her silence, and upon entering the shop greeted the woman who ran the shop.
"Hey"
"Welcome"
The woman had replied, the woman was wearing a white undershirt with plain navy blue Dungaree's her hair was twisted and spiked upwards, held back by the goggles that she wore on her forhead, it was clear to Lucy that she was a weapon fanatic, and Lucy was glad that she had chosen the right shop.
"Soo..is there a prefrable brand of Kunai? Also do you specialize in selling swords?"
Lucy had asked, she had taken a quick browse of the shop scanning the isles with her dilligent eyes, it had been clear to her that the answer to her question was yes.
"Yes come on over here, i'll show you some of the stuff that we recently shipped in, also we have a fine selection of swords."
Lucy followed the woman as she led her through the shop into the stock room. Upon reaching the stock room, the woman pointed at the array of new Kunai and tools that they had recieved.
"These ones here, have a specilised core, giving them a higher piercing rate and a good stability rate when flying , however they are reasonably more heavy than average Kunai, and often require a little more effort when throwing."
"Also these ones here, are made of Titanium, making them incredibly strong, and allowing them to travel at high speeds."
"Oh and the ones over there, their specialised to be used in conjunction with explosive tags, the tags exploding causes them to seperate into dozens of strapnel like pieces that are attached via a thin lightweight yet durable wire. Thos over there..."
Lucy listened to the woman talk, taking in everything she said, as the woman was talking, Lucy picked up the Kunai specialised for a stable flight with the enhanced core, putting her index finger through the hilt ring, and twirling her finger causing the kunai to rapidly spin around her finger, the Kunai quickly picked up pace spinning at a considerable amount of rotations per second, probably because of its heavy weight core, at that moment Lucy's thoughts drifted off.
"I wonder how Hitake is doing"
She thought, but couldn't help but whisper it as she did so...
