Atop the peak of a mountain,
looking over the vast greens,
water streams through like a fountain,
trees there are, no less than thirteen.
Breathing in the cool thin air,
it slithers down my airways,
into my lungs.
As I exhale,
I reach out and close my eyes and for a moment,
time stops.
The water struggles,
The trees surrender,
Life's heart is bared,
even just for a moment.
I stand and ponder,
decide in slight,
and jump.
