The worst I remember it being is:
Naruto VS Kiba (Can't remember which episode, the one where Kiba uses Gatsuga)
Team Gai VS Team Gai Clones

The best:
Naruto VS Sasuke
Team 11 + Kakashi VS Kakuzu and Hidan (84 and 85 Kick ass)


One of the problems with people complaining about the animation is that they confuse picture quality with the quality of the animation.

^And damn those are some serious proportion problems.

i love naruto but i cant stand how the animators are f*cking around with kishimotos masterpiece (sry for lang.) If i where kishi i would sue those mentally handicapped dorks!

someone said the movie's would be better. the only thing i can tell U - NOT AT ALL!

you are right, but somehow i don't want to "kill" the animators, they are just not enough talented for making the anime as good as the manga... maybe a better anime team is too expensive or a better animation would need more than a week for making a video of 20 minutes

Lol, I don't pay "that much attention". As soon as I saw Sasuke's face with the sharingan, I went "WTF, that guy is not Sasuke, OMG". Compare to the chapter in which he makes Suigetsu try his sword and powers, Sasuke looks sort of sexy or at least looks Sasuke almost the whole time.

Well, I have to admit Tobi looks the same, lol, no face at all.

Dang still have to download this episode. These imperfections always stand out I wish all fights were given the best animation.

I must say you're wrong. An animator's job is to make a pic move keeping the quality of the drawings, of uncoloured drawings. I am studying to become an animator, and that's somthing I always have to check, a character should always look like himself.

Ok......so........I've been hearing about how the animation is crappy, it sucks, etc.
I honestly want to know what makes it crappy. I thought I knew....maybe it was due to the stiff animation at times or the poor drawing, but now I'm lost. I can really understand if you think the animation has gotten choppy as of late and what not, but I really see no other reason to complain. The anime has never been consistently up to par....I remember seeing poor animations back during the Chuunin exams. So I feel like all this complaining was late or better yet, all for naught. Yet I still held my tongue because I felt as if you all knew something I did not(which may very well still be the case). However, today, I can no longer be silent. I saw people calling the animation in today's(Episode 123) crap. So I have to ask....what about the episodes when the Third Hokage fought Orochimaru, when Naruto fought Sasuke at the Valley of the End, when Hidan & Kakuzu fought Naruto, and company??? Those have the exact same animation style. Fluid. They were great, epic, episodes and the animations contributed to this.....in my opinion. I personally like it, but a lot of you are calling this animation crap. I want to know why. What are you looking for??? What do you want???

Haven't read through the replies, but my view on this is that the animation doesn't deserve to be called crappy overall, it's just that the curve ranging from good to bad quality the animators deliver sometimes go on a bouncy ****ing rollercoasterride... The most recent ones for instance; The ones prior to Kakashi Gaiden were quite bad compared to standards (standards being regular quality or better), and had been dodgy ever since the latest filler arc hit. But then Kakashi Gaiden suddenly turned out in terms of quality, couple more episodes that were slightly meh... But todays episode (124) was amazing compared to the one from last week.

I think people get annoyed with the inconsistency in episode quality. Sometimes they show enormous contrast between quality in different episodes, and with very small gaps... This probably makes people disappointed in some of them because an episode of high standards might confuse/disappoint people when the quality of an exceeding episode doesn't measure up at all.

listen guys. Coplaining about graphic qualty of the anime is ridiculous. Its not the graphic that makes a good anime its STORY!
And I hate when peoples say that Im too old for that baybu things like Naruto! I molmost started a fight with my older brother because of that(hes 2 years older)!pff Im 15 years old

I always noticed it being that bad. The only time i've hated the animation was during the Sasuke/Deidara battle, and the Hidan&Kakuzu battle. Whoever animated that needs to retire, or get fired.

By picture quality, I mean the quality of the actual video. (whether the quality got screwed up by the fansub of whatever else happens down there is beyond me)

why was that?
yes in their fights you can't really see their outlines and such, but in exchange we got to see some brilliant fast paced action.

I honestly don't see the real problem but thats probably because i'm satisfied with what I've seen in some of the fights. (Which is really all I care about since ive read the manga over and over until I can recall most of whats said to the point where the plot is not a factor in the anime.)

the sasuke vs. deideira-fight was really cool in the manga, but in the anime the quality was so obviously bad that it made me angry. the episode where sasuke frees jugo is on the same level, they have less time shadows than they have none.

I don't think you even see it like that when you watch the episdoe, when you pause it on certain moments, heck even in movies people can look like their chin is sawed off, but in the flow of the playing movie you won't see/notice it.
