I need help with my incomplete theories. If you happen to come across any information that could help prove, disprove, or even find a whole new theory, please post it here. I believe that if we can find some connections and further material, we can see relationships in the Naruto manga, and it might help us make predictions.
Topic 1: How the Kyuubi is related to the Sharingan.
On Issue cover # 398 we see that the Kyuubi has the three Sharingan tomoes in its eye. This suggests that either the kyuubi is a source or product of the Sharingan. I'm trying to find out why. Maybe the Kyuubi isn't related to the Sharingan directly (though I highly doubt it), maybe the Sharingan has something that is the Kyuubi's Achille's heel which is why the Sharingan (or just Madara) can control it. I say this because in Japanese Myth, Izanagi (the god who created Amaterasu, Tsukiyomi, and Susano'o) cut off his son's head, Kagutsuchi (a fire-god), for killing his wife when she delivered him by burning her.He used the Totsuka sword (the one wielded by Susano'o in the Naruto manga) to cut off Kagutsuchi's head. The blood that dripped from the sword onto the ground gave birth to 8 new dieties. Then, 8 more dieties were born from different parts of Kagutsuchi's body (which would make Kagutsuchi the 9th maybe?) if this was any inspiration for Kishi in his Naruto story, then I don't know how 2 sets of 8 dieties ties in, or maybe he just decided to leave it out.
But also, Izanami (Kagutsuchi's mother) miraculously gave birth to one last diety before she died, and she was the Water GOddess and also possibly the goddess of death, named Mizuhame. Izanami instructed Mizuame to pacify Kagutsuchi whenever he got out of control. There is not much more information on Mizuhame, and I have been scouring the internet to look for information on her, but that's all I could find.
Theory: If we assume that Kyuubi represents Kagutsuchi, then I hypothesize that one main reason that the Sharingan can control the Kyuubi is because of the MS technique Susano'o which wields the Totsuka sword. The Totsuka sword puts the enemy into a deep genjutsu.
Another possibility is that the Mizukage (Madara) represents Mizuhame. However this seems highly unlikely because a.) Mizuhame is female and b.) Madara mightve been able to control Kyuubi before he became Mizukage. although it is unknown exactly when he became Mizukage because it is unknown how many there were that came before him.

Topic 2: Akatsuki & their rings
We see that each Akatsuki member has their own ring inscribed with kanji. Most of them come from the Nine Syllable Seals called Kuji-in, which is a specialized form of Buddhist meditation. Technically the word "Kuji-in" refers only to the hand postures (mudra) and their related incantations (mantra). The related practice of making nine cuts--five horizontal and four vertical, alternating--in the air with the finger or on paper with a brush is known as "kuji kiri," nine syllable cuts. In Japanese folk-magic and Onmyodo, the nine cuts are often made over writing or a picture, to gain control of the object named or pictured. (So basically these 9 rings are like making 9 cuts to gain control of the Bijuu). What I'm trying to figure out is if there is a specific connection between each ring and it's wearer, and/or the Bijuu (since once Akatsuki gain control of all 9 Bijuu, I think they will be able to control it with the rings maybe). Anyways, here are the rings and their wearers:
* Right thumb: 零 (rei, "zero"); currently worn by Pain,
* Right index finger: 青 (sei, shō, "blue," "green"); formerly worn by Deidara. Seiryu's color is teal,
* Right middle finger: 白 (bya, "white"); currently worn by Konan. Byakko is presumed to be white, due to the ring's name,
* Right ring finger: 朱 (shu, "vermilion," "scarlet"); formerly worn by Itachi Uchiha. Suzaku's color is red,
* Right little finger: 亥 (gai, "sign of the boar"); currently worn by Zetsu,(the boar is often associated with the water element)
* Left little finger: 空 (kū, "sky," "void"); formerly worn by Orochimaru. Kuchin's color is light blue/gray,
* Left ring finger: 南 (nan, "south"); currently worn by Kisame Hoshigaki. Nanju's color is yellow,
* Left middle finger: 北 (hoku, "north"); formerly worn by Kakuzu. Hokuto's color is green,
* Left index finger: 三 (san, "three"); formerly worn by Hidan. Santai's color is orange,
* Left thumb: 玉 (gyoku, "jewel," "ball", also the king in shogi); currently worn by Tobi (Madara Uchiha), formerly worn by Sasori. Gyokunyo's color is purple.
The Four Guardians/Symbols of Chinese and Japanese mythology and constellations are:
Seiryuu (The Azure Dragon, representing Spring and Wood) to the East
Suzaku (The Vermillion Phoenix, representing Summer and Fire) to the South
Byakko (The White Tiger, representing Fall and Metal) to the West
Genbu (The Black Turtle, representing Winter and Water) to the North
What's interesting is that Itachi's(ring) chinese god is Suzaku. Suzaku is the vermillion phoenix and is the guardian of the south. Now, Kisame's ring means "south", and this connection between Shu (Suzaku) and Nanju might explain a connection between Itachi & Kisame and why this particular pair were together in the first attempt to capture Naruto pre-Shippuuden.
Also, Suzaku was an emperor in Japan (923-952) in his reign Taira no Masakado staged a rebellion in the Kanto region, he denominated himself new emperor... but he failed in the end. BUT! Suzaku had a younger brother(emperor Murakami) whom played the koto and the Japanese flute
