I like Hinata, but she feels too one-dimensional to me

Does anyone else feel the same way? Hinata is a good character don't get me wrong, but It seems as if everything she has done through the series has been progenited from Naruto.
Examples:
-Hinata VS Neji, she mostly got through that match because of Naruto's cheering
-Hinata VS Pain, fairly obvious

And other events as well. It's gotten to the point where I cannot imagine a scene with her that does not involve naruto in it. Her actions are based too much around him.

She's meant to be in the background apparently... I was thinking naruhina was going to happen,but naruto and sakura Have had some serious romance recently.. Minatos comparing sakura to kushina,naruto telling his dad they were dating etc..


Now that sakura went from fodder to the strongest in k11(besides naruto and sasuke of course) im supporting this

it's kind of hard to give a side character more than one dimension. kibas all about trying to beat naruto. shinos their trying to be remembered. rock lees just trying to be a genius of hard work. ten tens just a neji fan. most side characters have one dimension because of a lack of a chance to be more developed. until a little while ago all sakura did was stand at the back of fights and scream out someones name. hinatas trying to better herself to prove herself to her father to be worthy of the main branch while trying to catch up with naruto. only difference between her and sakura is sakura is trying to prove herself to sasuke and naruto she just gets more panels than hinata

Sai had at least 15 episodes Devoted to him.team guy helped fight a kisame clone.lee bisected the mighty uchiha madara.team 8 had to face several akatsuki.. I dont need to explain sakura,do i?

Do people who kill themself have guts? No! So neither does Hinata. She clearly knew she would die and she never destroyed those black rods she ran towards Pain and got instant killed. Only the anime made it more heroic.

Well being a secondary character is a *****like that ^.^


First off, Hinata likes Naruto. With that, every time she's around him or doing something concerning him...would it not be natural to assume that she would generally have him on her mind.

Since the show is Naruto....Naruto tends to be around a lot, and as a side character, Hinata generally ONLY appears around him.

So her one dimensional focus on Naruto is probably more plot driven than actual character existing. There hasn't been a single moment in which we've seen Hinata operating on a plan or mission that didn't have Naruto involved in it so we never got to really see her showing her other sides or focuses.

I guess the best example would be when She stood outside while Hiashi told Kurenai he could care less about his daughter. Naruto wasn't on her mind that day XD!


But yeah. This I'd honestly her biggest flaw, and its really more story/secondary character driven than Hinata just always focusing on Naruto.

I guess that's all I can say about that.
