Alright sensei! *takes a deep breath breath and begins to explain*

earth release or Doton: is one of the five basic elemental nature manipulation techniques which allows the user to manipulate the surrounding via mud, rock, dirt etc. for defensive and offensive techniques.

Basically, earth release techniques have the ability to change their overall composition, and strength from being as hard like metal to soft as clay, can also manipulate their density, making them light or heavy, this in conjunction allows the user to travel through the ground and rock in various ways, for transporting or making surprised offensive attacks, or in in other cases, for defence as well, which in turn makes earth release the most versatile of its elemental techniques, pre existence of earth isn't neccasary in most cases since the user himself can create it using his chakra, commonly affiliated with the snake seal or slamming your palm into the ground, and the element is common throughout iwakagure

Earth is strong against water since it can absorb it thus! earth naturally contains water or absorbs water to the point when it becomes muddy then dries up, and weak against lightning since it can travel though, and break it apart

I gather a great amount of chakra and slam my palms too the ground sending my chakra into the ground below me and enforcing pillars to arise from beneath me..

How many hand seals does it have

It's doesnt require any hand seals.

Advantages

Doesn't require any hand seals so it's efficient to excute. And moreover I can create small shields of earth guarding me form small incoming projectiles like shurikans and Kunais etc.

Disadvantages:

It's a low ranking tenchique, keeping that in consideration, it can be countered and destroyed easily. Mainly With high ranking techs. Especially against lightning elements. And it's a short to mid range technique, meaning its infective and not so much sufficient on using it for long range purposes.

Combos and possible uses

I can't think of any, so please enlighten me?

How to defend against it

It can be countered using raiton based techs, since it's weak against lighting overall and would easily break it apart nonetheless.

If he tries to do a higher ranked technique, he'll disrupt the Hiding like a mole technique and be left crushed.

Describe how to do it:

First of all, while I'm underground, and below the target, I locate the presence of my enemy, emerge from beneath the ground and use my hands and pulls them down within the ground, covering his whole body within the ground while only his head remaining above the floor, while the opponent is immovable I proceed to torture the opponent, and then proceed to finish him, by decapitation (ripping his head off, like a paper yaaaahhhh LOL)

How many hand seals does it have

It doesn't require any hand jutsus, which makes it easy and effective.

Advantages

  • Possibly the greatest advantage is once my opponent is underground I can finish him off, or in other cases if he manages to break free and still is inside the ground, it still allows me time to peform a handy tech which requires multiple hand seals.
Disadvantages

  • If my enemy can sense my approach within the ground, it will be dangerous, since he he will manage to counter attack, by peform a lightning or any attack once I emerge, by simply jumping and launch an attack
  • not a handy tech to be used against sensory types and doujutsu users, since it won't be enough to conceal my presence
Combos and possible uses:

I can use it mainly with a help of a clone, which will provide distraction and can further use this tech to emerge suddenly from within the ground and render him immovable, allows me the opportunity to finish him off lol

How to defend against it

I can use a non-hand seal based lightning tech to form within my body and break the earth apart.

First of all as instructed by my sensei, I take a small chunk of rock, using Doton manipulation to tranform the rock into something which seems like a staff, while that has been done, which I use as a mellee weapon, pinpointing my accuracy and throwing it towards my nemesis.

How many hand seals does it have:

It doesn't require any hand seals.

Advantages:

  • its quick and easy to peform
  • it also allows me to fire multiple variations of them, which will force my opponent to either dodge or defend against them, while he's busy, I can peform another powerful attack
Disadvantages

  • depedning on how it's used, especially if I use this tech with multiple throwing staffs, the accuracy of this tech isn't all that sufficient, frankly speaking, the tech is also quite low ranked so it can be overcome by simple lightning based attacks
Combos and possible uses

I can use the staff for various purposes, handy for taijustu purposes, mainly if my opponent is closing in bare handed I can summon the staff and use it as a lethal weapon, in conjunction I can also launch mulitple variations of the staff at my opponent, keeping him occupied, which allows me to strategise my next attack accordingly.

How to defend against it

I can use a lightning shield to defend against the thrown staff, technically, earth doesn't compete with lightning.

Describe how to do it:

First of all, rigardo core as his mind of all useless thoughts, then as his sensei instructs him the basics of this jutsu, I begin to gather Doton chakra within my body, manipulating it towards my arm, then relase it in the from of rings of rocks which I send flying across the opponent.

How many hand seals does it have:

It doesn't require any hand seals whatsoever, so it's safe and fast to initiate lol

Advantages:

  • its safe and fast to execute, since there isn't any neccessity of hand seals
  • the chunk of rocks thrown will force my opponent to lose their footing while attempting to dodge them, which can further allow me to peform a jutsu, depending on the situation.
Disadvantages:

  • the chunks of rocks can be used effectively at mid ranges at most, not much useful against opponents in long range postion
  • seeing how its a low rank jutsu, any lightning based shield should cause the rocks to break
Combos and possible uses

A very handy jutsu against opponents attempting to peform taijustu manauver, I can launch mulitple rocks stunning them, and in conjunction peform another attack to finish them off while they're panicking by being hit with mulitple rocks. I can presumably make the rocks more deadly by igniting them with a fireball jutsu.

How to defend against it:

I can use a lighting based element to either shield or decimate the incoming projectiles.

Describe how to do it:

After listening to my sensei, I begin to ease down my mind and peform the following jutsu, first of all I perform the rat hand sign, which further on allows me control mulitple section of rocks, and I continue to move them around the enemy, further on forming two large section of rocks and crumbling them on top of the opponent, this crushing them.

How many hand seals does it have:

It requires one hand seal, which is as following Rat

Advantages:

  • the surrounding of rocks around the enemy allows me to limit his mobility, so I can use it in conjunction with another jutsu to finish him off
Disadvantages:

  • the surrounding of the rocks around the enemy gives the nature of the jutsu away actually, the opponent will try to take desperate measure to avoid the jutsu, by getting out its range, or jumping in mid air lol
  • judging by the nature of in the tech I'd say it's not effective while standing on a water source >_>
Combos and possible uses

I can use a tech to distract my enemy and leaving him wide open, and the proceed to manipulate the rocks around him, into large rocks encaging him and use a tech from above, and then simply crushing him between the rocks.

How to defend against it

Before the rocks can land on me I can use ( Raiton: Raigeki) - Lightning Release: Electric Attack or the (Raiton: Jibashi) - Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder to break the rocks apart.

As my sensei intructs my the basis of this tech, I use Doton manipulation to change the earth beneath me into fine sand, which I then proceed to enter and leave no trace behind, confusing the enemy from where I've entered, also allowing me to sense what's happening outside, which also gives the opertunity to strategise and peform attacks (which don't require any hand seals, well obviously) surprising the enemy and attacking him.

How many hand seals does it have:

It doesn't require any hand seals!

Advantages

  • once your in the ground, u can aslo sense what's happening above
  • The technique also makes it hard for the enemy to tell from where you've entered
  • can also reach a certain depth in the ground where the enemy can't reach
Disadvantages

  • While underground u can't peform any had seals
  • can only peform techs of C rank
  • any higher attempt of jutsu will leave and casue the opponent crushed within the ground
Combos and possible uses

While I'm underground, I can use this tech to find my enemy, whilst my enemy will be bust and pre occupied upon locating me, I can suddenly launch a suprise attack (well of C rank) and attack and cause him sufficient damage.

How to defend against it:

Any byakugan user can possibly figure out my presence or even sensory users and can predict from where I'll emerge and will immediatly dodge or go airborn, or as soon as he tries to emerge can simply have a prepared jutsu off hand and direct it at him lol

Good. Also good job on the last set of techniques, well detailed and well done in general. Although try and add a little more description to it, you can think of more to add if you try. Like i tell all my students don't rely on my knowledge alone. Branch out and learn and discover yourself during the training, use the wikia and other sources.

Next techniques, we will do 3 at a time from here on out.

Describe how to do it

As rexii sensei explains the basis of this tech, DS closely listens and watches and learns about the technique, he immodestly puts up a smirk on his face "ha! I just love these tricks, the enemies soaked in ROSY blood, such an intriguing proposition!" He gathers a considerable amount of Doton chakra within his arms and puts them on the ground and causing small spikes to emerge under the enemies feat, which conceals his mobility and leaves him in pain, pretty much. Which in turn puts him wide open to head on attacks.

How many hand seals does it have:

Well, it doesn't require any hand seals.

Advantages:

  • Good to limit the enemies mobility, which can be useful to attack the opponent head on, mainly with powerful jutsus which travel in a straight line, since his mobility is concealed, he won't be able to avoid, also adding his feat have been skewered, he's gonna be in dense pain
  • the spikes are also pretty strong, considering the fact they can impale and travel through solid rock and obstacles is also a major advantage I'd add
Disadvantages:

  • This tech works well in earth surfaces, so the fact if you're own a water source it doesn't hold any meaning
  • also, after forging the pillars into to rocks the enemy can pretty much break the pillars
Combos and possible uses:

Like I've mentioned previously, the jutsu is great to conceal their mobility by impaling their feat, which allows the user to perform other techs to finish the enemy off, great for instant and surprise attacks, I can also possibly use this tech by sending my opponent flying and falling on the ground, and use this tech to impale him throughout his body causing vital damage to the opponent.

How to defend against it:

The well considering the fact that the pillars protrude into spikes, so as soon as they emerge they can be dealt with, the ideal tech to break them would be raiton.

As I follow the steps to gain valuable knowledge on the tech as rexii breifly explains the format, I begin to walk onto the middle of the training field while the wind constantly blows through DS's hair, I concentrate my chakra within my left arm and slam it onto the ground, which cases the earth to shake beneath me, which allows the user to knock the opposition from their ability to move freely and render variable tech in effective.

It doesn't require any hand seals..

Advantages:

  • A very handy jutsu in the given cases, the great thing about it is that it doesn't require any hand seals and can stop the opposition from peering techs, hand seal etc, which can allow the user to gain many sorts of advantages on the hand to prevent the enemy from Performing LONG set of hand seals
Disadvantages:

  • It mainly works on the ground, against air based jutsus, where the user persons them from air, this jutsu is pretty much useless in that case
  • The jutsu doesn't posses any sort of attack potency
Combos and possible uses:

Well as for combos, this jutsu is pretty great to effect the opponent ability or cancel out the attacks, not exactly cancel, more like making them miss or stop them from Performing it, which is useful, even stopping the enemy from performing a powerful tech makes this C rank jutsu pretty powerful, like the concept of brain over brawns, after the opponent loses his footing I can attack him using projectiles and some other jutsus, a handy tech overall.

How to defend against it:

Well the obvious thing which comes to mind is by going air Bourne and then attack the enemy.

As this tech is bought up DS thinks to himself "ugh, that's pretty disturbing" he walks up and gathers a Doton chakra within his mouth lol, and forms a a thick globule which he then spits towards the opponent aiming for his face, the sticky patch covering his face, which makes him loose his ability to see and breathe.

How many hand seals does it have:

Doesn't require any hand seals.

Advantages:

  • Well it's pretty basic, can make the opponent lose his sight
  • Can suffocate him
  • Can also be used on the opponents feat I presume to cripple his mobility
Disadvantages:

  • Since he's spitting and all the likelihood of missing is quite high :|
  • The spit is quite predicable I might say, the opponent can probably detect, a sharingan user in general and avoid it pretty effectively
Combos and possible uses:

Well possibly, the one I can think of is spitting on the enemies feat, which should be able to conceal his movement, further on allows the user to attack him, since he's in no position to move after all >_> (don't know if that works)

How to defend against it:

I use a ration shield after I see him spit :|

Yeah if the opponent runs in to the sticky earth he will be ensnared as though he ran in to tar or something equally viscous.
Moving on to the next batch and a good job on the last set.

Describe how to do it:

As rexii gives me next batch of techs to perform, DS gets excited from the word of it, as he walks across the training field and away from rexii and suddenly stops, he can feel the warmth of the gazing bright sun and the slow breeze blowinf across his exposed naked torso, after calming and relaxing himself, DS activates his chakra circulatory system and swirling it around the crucial parts of his body, after doing that I feel the rough structure of the Doton chakra, using nature manipulation to convert my raw chakra into Doton, after following the procedure, I put my hand on the ground and cause the rocks around me to dislodge and scatter.

How many hand seals does it have:

None, it's doesn't require any.

Advantages:

  • Pretty decent tech overall, allowing the user to control rocks and dislodge them can be potentially useful on cases such as where the enemy is standing on a. Small boulder and I can manipulate it causing him to loose his footing, is alsoe pretty good to be used within a cave as I can make the rocks fall crushing him or either obscuring the view between us.
Disadvantages

  • Its pretty simplistic, causing the rocks to be moved and dislodged is quite predictable, depending the enemy I'm facing he might not have any trouble destroying the rocks and such.
Combos and possible uses:

Well, like I said, pretty good overall, especially in a cave, I can use the previous tech while I'm in a cave to glue him on to the spot, and then dislodge the rocks so he won't be able to move, it's also pretty handy on cases to manipulate surrounding rocks incase the enemy uses them as hiding places or as a foothold. So breaking them can allow him to loose his footing.

How to defend against it

As soon as I can see or anticipate the rock movement,as a measure of an attack, against me, a similar ranked raiton variety can simply break the rocks.

Describe how to do it

As DS completes the first tech, he moves onto the next one, while mopping the sweat away on his forehead, he again maintain a viscous stance with an whole out serious expressions ensnared throughout his face, he the gathers raw chakra spreading it around his body, and then using nature manipulation to convert the chakra into Doton, and along with performing the needed hand seals, ram ---> horse ---> dragon, he creates a dragon like head emerge from the mud, who shoots multiple mud bullet projectiles to the enemy.

How many hand seals does it have:

It has three hand seals.

Advantages:

  • the jutsu is suited for long to short ranges, it's good to be used once the dragon is out against taijutsu enemies closing in, or to interrupt the enemy, causing him to move constantly and defend, which makes it great for combo uses to move straight onto other techs.the bullets are also fast moving considering it's a projectile based jutsu.
Disadvantages

  • Shooting basic bullets is just a little too basic. Which is actually pretty predictable and can be sufficiently avoided using correct measures! also the use of hand seals and the dragon emerging is a pretty time consuming process, so the tech might not be well suited for short ranges unless correct measures are to be taken
Combos and possible uses:

Just like the jutsu mentions, the overall best way is to engulf the bullets on flames creating lava, initiating larger and more versatile impacts, and making it much more deadly by just ordinary mud bullets, in battle, the jutsu can have many variations, since it's projectile based, the bullies travel omni directionally, so the best way is to ensure the enemy is distracted or can't move to accurately hit him.

How to defend against it

The bullets can be easily countered, IMO a strong wind gush should counter it, raiton sheld or offensive attacks consisting of raiton of similar rank are formidable and should work as such.

Describe how to do it:


After I completed the formation of the previous tech, DS begins to feel pretty exhausted at this point as doing all three jutsu at once is pretty breath taking, but nevertheless, DS just shows that he's completely refreshed, no matter how hard the training, it's nothing to him, he then walks away from rexii, and reaching to the middle of the training ground, while DS stands he feels the cool breeze blowing again, and them calms and relaxes his muscles, and gathers a considerable amount of Doton chakra in his body, while peforming the tiger hand seal, I create a river of mud. Which carries the enemy.

How many hand seals does it have:

Just one, which is the tiger hand seal.

Advantages:

  • its great and pretty quick to do, great at leaving the enemies mobility crippled, thus, during that point he's vulrnable to attacks, the great part is it also create a medium for the "earth dragon bullet" which is great. It's also great to be used to allow the user time or for distraction.
Disadvantages:

  • Well it's good, but the downfalls can Invlolve if the enemy is formidable, it amount of time he can break out of it can vary, the mud forming around the ground gIves away it's properties actually.
Combos and possible uses:

In my opinion, I can use flames to send to the river to heat it up, causing considerable damage to the enemy, as well as using the earth dragon mud bull get tech to stay on the offence.

How to defend against it:

Before the mud river can form completely I can use raiton to shatter the ground around completely, or take steps to move out of the way.

(Doton: Ganchūrō no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Rock Pillar Prison Technique
