"I know how you feel" NO NARUTO, YOU DONT.

Little thing that's been bugging me for a while now. All of Narutos TnJ whether its against Neji, Nagato or Sasuke will always start with "I know how you feel" but the thing is...he really doesn't. Psychologically nobody deals with trauma in the same way. Just because Naruto didn't have a perfect childhood he thinks that this makes him understand everybody? He doesn't get to look down on people like Gaara and say "I know how it is, to feel that way" when he really doesn't. Naruto was never targeted by assassins sent by his own family, Naruto was never a war orphan, never had his people massacred and tortured by the person he loves the most or had his childhood sweetheart killed.

I'm not saying that Naruto had it easy, but he needs to stop bringing everyone down to his level. We already all know Naruto Uzumaki's hardly the deepest person going but he needs to know that no one person deals with terror in the same way as he does. He had an out, he got saved from loneliness by Iruka & Team 7. He has no right to go around stating how the Hyuuga should be or what Sasuke should do with his future. Naruto doesn't understand really very much at all.

No, the point is- he knows what it's like for HIM to be lonely. Sasuke had a totally different image of loneliness, one that he dealt with in his own ways and formed the person he is today. Yeah I agree with you. Apparently he started to feel a bit of Sasuke's pain when Jiraiya died.

Gaara had no friends and everybody hated him and his flashbacks where all about what love is with his mother. Naruto was in a situation like that and like you said Iruka helped him out of it.

I'm sorry I kinda disagree. Especially when he's thinking that he knows Sasuke entirely and is interfering with his future. He didnt even know who the Hyuuga were a day before he said he understands their problems and making wild accusations about changing them when he clearly has no idea what he's talking about.

Naruto takes authority into his own hands. That's kinda a big deal.

By your logic,Sasuke wasn't supposed to be burthurt that his clan was murdered.

You are right in the respect that not everyone deals with pain or loss in the same way and Naruto does overdo it with the TNJ sometimes. He's not the sharpest tack on the shelf but one of the things he is good with is empathy. He might not be so smart but he is pretty good about sensing other peoples feelings.

He got a little carried away with Sasuke and he will never really comprehend what it's like to come home and see your parents dead on the floor. He admitted until Juraiya he didn't know what that was like to lose someone close. There are also things he and Sasuke had in common. They were both lonely growing up because of no parents and they were both isolated from the rest of the village. Sasuke because he was an Uchiha and Naruto because of the 9 tails. So there is understanding to be had there.

With Neji all he did was throw Neji's self righteousness back at him. Neji was almost willing to kill his cousin because of the injustice he felt from of being the branch family, all Naruto did was call him out on it. Telling Neji he will change that when he is Hokage is just Naruto bragging to keep up his self confidence. That is how Naruto gets by. Keeping his dream constantly in front of him.

He has been through a lot in his life and his ability with TNJ has saved the day many times and changed peoples lives.
