1.Naruto was Always Beaten,shunned,had to eat scraps,avoided...
2.He didn't know his parents, which basically Made him think his parents didn't want him..
3.Was always stigmatised In the village
4.Only Iruka and the 3rd hokage showed even the slightest feelings of kindness to him
5.No-one told him He/she love him till pain arc...
6.Had the only Man who was like a father to him killed;therefore becomes lonely again
Bro,He Understands...

1. The only thing there that is correct is shunned. Iruka fed him, the only person beating him was Sakura (the third said that anyone who touches Naruto will be punished, it was one of the laws after Minato died). That was purely fanfiction.

2. Sure, Naruto lost his parents. Sasuke's was killed and was forced to watch it over and over again, twice, For 72 hours, BY HIS OWN BRO. Gaara's dad even made Gaara's only living relative who loved him try to kill him, and force him to say "I hate you for killing my sister,

3. Okay, so were many other ninja.

4. Iruka loved Naruto like a brother, Hiruzen loved him like a grandson, Hinata loved him like a crush. You're downplaying their love.

5. No one told Naruto they loved him, like that. I'm sure others have said they loved him like a brother, friend, etc off screen. But if Kishi showed us everytime someone said that, it would get boring. The reason he showed us Hinata saying that in the "I really love you; you're the reason I've become strong" way.

6. Jiraiya died. Big whoop. Still not nearly as bad as a lot of the people he said, "I know how you feel bro."

So he might understand a FRACTION of their pain, but not even close to Sasuke's. Maybe more than Obito, or maybe almost as much as Gaara, But Sasuke's sucked worse.

Ur profanity in judging scenarios is Quite "wrong"
1.Your wrong. Before he was Made a Ninja, and started forming bonds....He was always beaten then, even Iruka Harbored some Ill will against him then,Iruka Never fed him at that point. He was forced to leave on scraps...
2.It was worse than loosing. A parent.Sure if his parent had told him they loved him before they died,he'd been satisfied. He even said He thought his parent didn't want him, that's why they abandoned him!
3.Nope,was sauke stigmatised? Was Iruka stigmatised? Was anyone In Konoha Stigmatised on the level Naruto was?!!!!
FYI Naruto contained kurama,so U get the idea...
4.Nope,before naruto stole the forbidden scroll,Iruka didn't love him then,Infact No-one except hiruzen did.
5.Yeah right,No one told him that till pain arc!
6.Sasuke's parents died also,big woop!
Loosing a loved one is Enough for you to Understand someones pain.
The difference is that Naruto got over it,while sasuke is still harboring it!

naruto needs to at least find common ground between him and the person hes talking to, which is what i assume hes doing when he says stuff like that.

what neji told naruto was that he had an unbreakable curse, naruto tried to understand it through the nine tails.
sasuke gaara and narutos stories may be different, but they are the same in the aspect of lonliness. of course naruto doesnt know how it feels to lose something or to grow up with no one ( he had friends)
however he can find common ground with them and work from there. so does he know how they feel? maybe maybe not, but he has an idea and thats better than nothing.

I thought Sasuke was the one that quantified that they understood each other.

He was the one that said "You understand that feeling of loneliness", and I don't remember him saying he understood anything with Neji. But I might have just forgot that. Actually he just wanted to understand Nagato, he went to him and legitimately said he didn't understand him at all. He said he wanted to hear his story and what he went through.

edit: he did say he understood neji. So yeah I'll give you that one.

As far as loneliness
I'd like to remind you people
that Sasuke also was left alone..

And how you feel when your parents
are being murdered in front of you?

On the one hand, I do agree that no two people process trauma in the same way. That is what makes us, as humans, unique. However, I will have to disagree that Naruto doesn't understand the feelings of Sasuke, Gaara, Neji, and Nagato. Sure he didn't have the same childhood experiences but, if no two people process trauma in the same way, then it is very plausible for Naruto to say he understands how they feel. To him, the loneliness and stigmatization he was forced to endure throughout his childhood were just as bad as if he had seen his parents murdered, or his town destroyed, or seeing a loved one trying to murder him. Why? Because he still experienced them.

I'm sure Naruto felt abandoned not having parents around. He probably felt angry because there was nobody there to show their love to him like a parent would. Sure the Third was kind towards him, but he knew the truth. And even so he still didn't treat him exactly like a grandson or a relative. If you look at it, the Third stigmatized him to a degree too. Why didn't he bring him into his household instead of setting him up in the apartment? I realize that Naruto had to be raised by someone until he was self-sufficient enough. Obviously though, said person didn't care for the boy enough to keep him around their own house. As for Iruka, he still held his own parents' death against the Kyuubi at first. He didn't start seeing Naruto like a little brother until he had a talk with the Third about Naruto being just like him. Naruto didn't even have true friendships until he started proving himself as a ninja at 12 or 13.

As for the other things, he DID experience his village being destroyed and a loved one being killed. Jiraiya became a father figure towards him so he could completely understand that. Granted, it didn't occur in front of him like it did with Nagato and Sasuke, but it was the one parental type attachment that he had. How could that not be to the same degree as those two? Not to mention the fact that it probably brought back those childhood feelings of loneliness and abandonment. And then to know and understand that he was the REASON for his village being destroyed? That, to me, is almost worse than seeing it occur.

Ultimately, my point is that we can't sit here and say that Naruto doesn't understand the feelings of others. He does. The way he comes off when he says it may cause people to disagree and complain about his TnJ. But, think about this, what if Naruto is meant to illustrate the best of humanity? We have the capacity to UNDERSTAND one another on various levels but we often CHOOSE not to. Naruto is merely showing that there is someone out there willing to TRY.

By your logic,Sasuke wasn't supposed to be burthurt that his clan was murdered.
Naruto moved on,Gaara moved on,sasuke didn't.end of story!

Nope, i'm just saying that kid Sasuke had his own way of dealing with things after the massacre (commits to revenge, becoming silent and slowly getting angrier and angrier) and kid Naruto had HIS own things to deal with his problems (Pulling pranks etc) they have different ways of dealing with different problems. Naruto expects Sasuke to be like him and just get over it just because Naruto could get over his. I don't like that.

I agree to an extent.
But the main problem is not the amount of problems he got through, a person might gone through to same thing with another, but that does not mean fully understanding the constant situation; Naruto has a sort of good intention of course but he can not fully grasp the aspects of whole situation; for ex. with Neji thing, he still lacks many things in the understanding of Hyuuga, if he fully know everything, the ways of clan would be thing he is picking on; not Neji because in the big picture the clan was also wrong, did Naruto even see that?
On the other hand, you might also not have the same problems with a person, but you can understand and help them, my close friends are not my replicas when it comes to problems; but we are very well capable of understanding and supporting each other.
So the main thing is not the s**t he gone through, his ability(or inability) to fully grasp, understand and resolve the whole situation.
