Other than spoiling the main antagonist for myself @ Episode 19, this shit was stellar. I can't believe I was sleeping on this series for so long. I don't want to read the manga, because this seems like the type of show that is better at anime than manga.

I never planned on watching it until I was bored on Netflix one day and Adult Swim takes too long (they're on episode 8 or so right now!)

This would've been 3 months later by the time this season would've finished.

The manga has a pretty good story. The anime is good for the action, but the manga, IMO, is better for the story parts.

Punk is right in a way. AoT can both be very underrated and very overrated. There's a lot more to the plot than people give it credit for, especially people who have only seem the anime, or some of it, or who dropped the series before a particular point.

I'd say yes. The art isn't very good, but bearable. For me personally, it grew on me and I rather enjoy it, and the story is pretty good.
