Well he can control sand in all ways so there is nothing to stop him from covering someone in sand and then applying crushing force on it. Also, he could probs do it with his body when they attack, like pull them in and crush. Though the blood would keep him from being immune to punches like it did vs Luffy.

This^ he wouldnt do it because of the blood but he could do it

I don't think so, He can turn his body into sand, but I doubt that it would be enough to trap larger characters like WB. Maybe on smaller characters, yes. And there have been no instances (that I remember) where we've seen Croc control sand other than his own.

That's Gaara's technique therefore, Crocodile shouldn't use it and it wouldn't be original.

Easily. Crocodile can control sand in any way. However, Oda is too good to use something that has already been done in Naruto.
