[Discussion] I feel like Akainu will be the final villain

Blackbeard js luffy's pirate rival, the one looking for one piece. It seems like he doesn't care about the world government neither the marines. He only cares about finding one piece. We know that luffy will destroy world government, and Akainu is the strongest fighter in government/marines. I feel like Luffy will beat Teach in Raftel, then after finding out about the void century and he has to beat the government, he'll face Akainu at the end to finally finish the government and marines. What do you think?

Akainu was the only person that made lose all the hope. He would be the perfect villain

BB has to the two strongest DF's for a reason... to fight the future PK. But seriously, I think it's possible for Sabo or even Dragon to face off Akainu than Luffy. Luffy might have a quick skirmish with Akainu then Sabo might step in.

It's possible. Dragon also wants to beat the government, but I don't think he'll face Akainu. It would by good if Sabo beats Akainu with Mera Mera. But I don't see Teach having anything to do with the plot after luffy beats him in Raftel

I see BB as the FV...BB will kill Shanks and it would trigger Luffy vs BB!
I wouldnt mind Akainu as the FV for Luffy but i see Dragon vs Akainu happening more than Luffy vs Akainu because both Dragon and Akainu will fight over their version of "Justice"

Old Whitebeard level, which was considered the strongest man alive even with his age, and Akainu did a pretty good job against the supposedly strongest man, even though when Akainu was hit the hardest was when WB caught him fro behind, and let's not forget that Akainu and the marines are stronger now, so Akainu in terms os strength could totally be the final villain.

Akainu only faced Old Whitebeard when he was already sick, stabbed and mortally wounded and eventhen in 2shots he was already close to KO. Can't even imagine what Old Whitebeard would have done to him if he was fresh. Not to mention that Prime Whitebeard should be much stronger than Old sick, stabbed mortally wounded Whitebeard, leaving a huge gap between Prime Whitebeard and Akainu.

Akainu like i've said has no chance to become final villain if even after defeating him, there is still that huge of a gap between him and Prime Whitebeard that could have been filled by the likes of Garp, Shiki, Prime Rayleigh and so on. Prime Rayleigh for example implied he could defeat Kizaru(slightly weaker than Akainu) without much difficulty(despite his back-ups) and not only he is weaker than Prime Whitebeard but is destinated to be surpassed by Zoro. So Zoro himself should be much stronger than Akainu by the end of serie. In a long time frame frame, Akainu level just won't cut it and Akainu is already past his prime(55 years old). Hard to see how he will evolve that much

Lol you're talking as if you know what's going to happen. There is a possibility of Akainu being the final villian, even though it's low. Yeah I would agree that BB is more fitting but really the gorosei? Akainu had his eye on Luffy since MF and seeing how Oda decided not to kill him off during MF may suggest his role as an end villain may be huge.

Old sick WB left that battle with life-threatening injuries, despite being enraged and catching him off-guard. Before that "fight", Akainu was casually holding down Bisento casually with just his leg. I'm not saying Akainu is stronger or anything but it seems like you're downplaying him. Akainu scared off BB & his crew pre-TS as well.

Who's not to say that Akainu got stronger? It's possible. There isn't a required age where someone reaches their prime. The two biggest threats to Luffy in accomplishing his dream are Akainu and BB. He wants to exterminate the pirate era and it seems he got his ideologies from Z. Rayleigh could defeat Kizaru? Really? He seemed pretty warn out after a while.
