You didn't explain it well. Gaara grew up being hated and feared by everyone in his village. His father sent assassins to try and kill Gaara many times and even made Gaara's uncle who he thought was the only person who cared for him to try and kill Gaara and to say cruel things to Gaara making Gaara think he had no reason to live then he settled to the idea that killing gave him a purpose plus he had Shukaku influencing him as he called Shukaku his mother. He also couldn't sleep or Shukaku could gain control so his mind was effected as much as well.

Sasuke didn't have to go leave Konoha to get Itachi, he could have stayed in Konoha, trained with Gai, Kakashi, Asuma, Kurenia to improve his skills and go after Itachi with team 7 when the time was right. Also Sasuke isn't the only person who had their clan wiped out, lets not forget about Haku, Kimimaru, Juugo, Uzumaki to an extent.

Naruto didn't see his family getting killed by his own brother MANY times,and by 12,he had his Team + Iruka whereas Sasuke still spent years looking for revenge,and relieved for 72 hours his family being killed by Itachi.Gaara became content with killing people and it pleased him.At 13 he changed became good.Got along with his siblings then became Kazekage during the timeskip and had tons of people supporting him,and Naruto had more people with him aswell.

Sasuke at 16 still seeked revenge,and when he got it he found out that his brother who he just fought to the death with was good.

The only way you can call Sasuke a pyschopath is from him saying that he would kill everyone in Konoha,but before than,him wanting revenge on Itachi is perfectly reasonable and wanting to kill the elders.Itachi was the one who killed the Uchiha's what did he have to be deluded about? Noone lied to him at 7/8 years old about his families massacre.

And Sasuke saw more than just his parents death - Itachi used the MS to show Sasuke him killing the whole clan.And when Sasuke chased after Itachi he saw dead bodies on the ground.Then years later at 13 Itachi uses the MS to show Sasuke the whole massacre for 72 straight hours.

At 7/8 Sasuke saw his own brother kill their parents in front of him and saw their whole family killed by him,then for years he lived alone.Remember the Uchiha clan was section off from the village too. Naruto didn't have a sadder past.He didn't have a family to love and then lose them - see them all die at the hands of his own brother who he was the closest too.

Not alone was Sasuke lonely like Naruto but he knew what it was like to have a family and lose it Naruto didn't.Infact Naruto was friends with Shikamaru,Kiba,andChoji when they were 7/8.

Gaaras past was sad but he became content with killing and began to enjoy it,it become fun too him.From 7 to 13 he liked killing people to "feel alive".Think back to how he was in part 1 chunin exams.

I never mentioned Naruto lol I only said other clans were wiped out or near wiped out then I named some that we knew about. Haku still was left alone after losing his mom and grew up alongside Zabuza who is like a demon. I wasn't comparing the Uchiha massacre, I was comparing the fact that other ninjas had their clans wiped out and suffered from it. Gaara had the worst past no doubt, he was affected in many different ways that all pointed to a dark path with no light in it until Naruto.

Haku was founded by Zabuza, Kimimaru and Juugo found by Orochimaru, Sasuke went to Orochimaru and was later captured by Tobi. Gaara was turned evil from his daily life while others were influenced by an evil being who used them. Gaara was influenced by Shukaku and thought it was his mom he would talk to but he ultimately gave in to killing from how everyone treated him as a monster, feared and hated him and Gaara wanted to fill something so killed, it was mostly his assassins sent by his dad from what we seen.

Anyways, the Uchiha massacre was a terrible thing that affected Sasuke but it didn't change him in such a way that Sasuke lost who he was, he grew up and created bonds with his friends and could have lived a good life in Konoha but chose to leave for power. It was seeing Itachi again and feeling jealous of a Naruto that caused Sasuke to do so but Gaara is reminded daily of everything since everyone still fears and hate him everyday, he had no one that could help him have a better life. Haku had the better life of the people I mentioned since he found someone he cares about deeply but he still suffered from a messed up past but he puts that behind him as it's his past and he loves for Zabuza.

Naruto was starved and physically abused? Leave it to NBers to post garbage.

Sasuke chose to embrace the darkness and suffering, is why other's pasts are placed above him. It's all subjective in the end.

I find Naruto's and Gaara's the worst because they had no choice and were completely in the dark about why they were hated. To be a small child and have to go through that persecution... People wishing you dead, treating you like a disease, and completely berating your existence is unbearable, but to be only a kid and not know why? You know the identity crisis and psyche-shattering impulses brought up because of something you can't control? It's a fate I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

More than that, Sasuke had the entire village behind and people more than willing to help him. That's obviously not the same as the ties of family, but it's better than nothing, which is what Sasuke chose. Naruto, Gaara, Kakashi, and Itachi had it the worst IMO, but Sasuke's is horrible as well.

There's a lot of heart-wrenching stories in this manga. Naruto, Gaara, Kakashi, Itachi, Sasuke, Sasori, Haku, Zabuza, Kimimaro, Obito, Neji, Hinata, Yahiko, Konan, Tsunade, Nagato, Kabuto, Yamato, Hashirama, Madara, Tobirama... I'm leaving a ton out, but you get it. To say which you feel is absolute worst is pretty opinionated.

No offense, but your first paragraph is literally laughable. It's Naruto's own fault for caring that People should value and notice him. You fault Sasuke that he didn't value people he shouldn't have over his family and entire clan, yet you mourn over Naruto's socialization troubles? I would not even take a euphemistic stance here and outright state the sheer stupidity of this idea.

Naruto had Iruka as a father figure from his childhood days. Sasuke's entire family was slaughtered in cold blood, and that too by his own brother. Do you have any idea what it would do to a child to walk in on a scene of human shambles, bloodied streets, corpses of his kith and kin, his parents murdered heinously ... only to find his brother at the heart of this misery? But no, Naruto couldn't make friends. How utterly horrible for him. Let's all weep for his trouble in making peers and trying to desperately grab attention, because he so loved being centre stage.

Who did a seven year old child have to relate to? Who did he have to watch over him? No one. It's pretty damn sickening that people on this forum value and uphold merits of friendship in a higher regard than familial ties. It's the epitome of idiocy.

It was Naruto's own choice to value and cater to people's opinions of him. It's no one fault but his own. Itachi - the revered psychotic nut-job this base heartily cherishes - had a choice. He chose to inflict misery on Sasuke and murder his own people who held nothing but respect for him. He was nothing but a treacherous man, and his suffering was his own doing. I have no idea why people even bring Itachi into this. Sasuke had no choice in what befell him, these people did. Itachi deserved whatever happened to him, twenty fold for betraying his people and family, who still loved him even as they drew their last breaths.

Kakashi faced practically nothing compared to Sasuke and the Hidden Rain children. He had an easy life by comparison. In fact Kakashi himself stated that Sasuke was a 'a victim of that era', thus stating that his pain was far greater than his. People like to glorify this guy anyway they can, but this just ridiculous. The guy had a breezy life. He also had plenty of support, which by your own admission obviously makes such a colossal and awesome difference in ones life.

Gaara chose to stay with an abusive father. His suffering should be shouldered by him as well. But even he had a caretaker till he tried to kill him when he was about 7 or 8. Sasuke chose to liberate himself. That is what intelligent people do. Leave the places that cause them misery. By God, this base ...
