Why not? To me it just sounds like you don't want to admit that DBZ loses. Sure it's not fair that some people in DC can destroy universes and recreate them with a mere thought, but they can. They even exist outside of the normal multiverse DC has created for itself, so destroying wouldn't affect them. I mean, how can Goku defend against matter manipulation to such a high degree that the attack makes him not exist anymore. You can't. If "God" deems it so, then so be it.

I never once said "supermans is da best and cannot lose." Some characters are invincible and cannot lose though. The Presense is such a character. He is the God of the DC multiverse. Spectre also is nigh Omnipotent and "God's" right hand man (kinda like Jesus). These characters exist in the DC universe, but they are not part of the main story. They just appear when things become so damn hectic and have to reset the balance. I believe that was why most the known characters today are way less strong then their 1980's counterparts. Things were reset in a way so they are less OP and have an actual story line.

Speaking of story line, I always love seeing the argument of well since they never lose, they must have a "great" story line (I see this sarcasm, even if it is over the internet.) So because DC has a horrible story line it makes the argument of how badly DBZ gets beat by DC characters a less valid point? This argument is the best people can come up with when they know they have lost? "Well who cares if they are stronger, DBZ has a better storyline so they win." One Piece has a much better story then Naruto, but most people don't know this because they have never read/watched it and will argue till they are blue in the face why it isn't the case.

Same thing can be said about Comics. Have you actually picked up a comic and read one? Do you know for a fact the story line is shit? Makes you wonder how there are so many movies made about comic book characters, based on the comics, that they can put together a story and people go watch it. Wasn't one of the Batman movies one of the all time highest grossing movies ever. What about those Spiderman movies? How about the new Superman movie that will be coming out. I bet a lot of people will go see that one too. Such crappy story line people can make movies out of it and people go see it.

Not the best storyline ever but at least they lose to the villains sometimes. It seems like Superman auto wins every fight unless someone uses kryptonite. Everyone says Goku can't use it in this thread so that seems fair.

Not true. Superman get hit by attacks all the time and the enemies put up a good fight. Superman is "As strong as he needs to be". The writers have made it so he puts up a good fight every time. You will see him get hit by character far less strong as him, but it is done so that it keeps the reader in suspense. Then you got people say "well if he was hit by Batman here, and Batman is a really weak human, then he can get hit by anyone." Of course they don't ever take in the factors that led to that happening, like Superman didn't want to fight, or it was dark so Superman was much weaker then he normally is when it's daytime or blah blah blah.

It would be like saying Itachi has no eyes and one leg and one hand, and he has to fight idk.... Sai. Guess will will be winning the fight. Just because someone is handicapped during a fight and they get hurt or lose doesn't mean they are weak. Just like Superman. He may be losing part of the fight, but he will eventually come(just like almost every other hero whether it be comics or manga) to save the day and win. It just wouldn't fulfilling if the bad guy won and the Earth(or whatever universe that character is in) was doomed.

I appreciated Akira, Oda, Kishi and all the other Japanese writers that dont care about outdoing others, they just want to make a great story.

The last point is why I prefer manga to comics as well. I like a good story. That still doesn't change the fact that DC characters around Superman's level and higher destroy DBZ. Having a crappy story line doesn't change this. Superman has different versions of himself because everything was reconned after Superman Prime recreated the universe and everyone in it. They then made "The Modern Day Superman". This is the once that is on the same level as Goku. Well kinda. The one Death Battle made to fight Goku. Pre Crisis Superman is the one people say destroy Goku easy(which is very true). Back then, the story didn't matter much because Comics were still in the process of figuring out what the readers liked.

Go read what I said above. Just because Something has a horrible story line doesn't mean the character with the better story line wins.

And no, people don't choose Superman because of Goku's popularity. I choose him based on facts. I like Goku more then Superman. I grew up on DBZ. I just know when they lose and when they don't. I can weigh the facts and make a logical decision based on those facts without bias or fanboyism. Most people just can't accept their favorite character loses and will back peddle and try to come up with better reason as to why Goku is better, (even though the debate is about why DC characters can beat DBZ characters in a fight) and then say that is why Goku wins. It's almost like saying well because my dog took a shit on the lawn last night, Goku beats Superman. Almost the same reasoning behind it.

I didn't say shit about death note and yeah it obviously has a better story good job pointing that out. OP Fan is right though I have never read any of the Dc comics and I never will. Imo they look terrible and not interesting at all. I have seen some of the movies but that's about it. The only comics I have ever read was Sonic back in the day.

the point of superman was showing how someone with powers and alien origin can fit into normal society. he feels like hes in a world of cardboard and constantly has to hold back. and like i said theres different versions of superman that can appeal to everyone. the original classic supes was the weakest. superboy prime is a villainous version. red son is a what if superman was russian etc. so much you can do with this character. pick up a comic and decide for yourself rather than autmatically saying its bad because characters in it are unbeatable
