Advantages:
-You can disrupt the enemies balance and interrupt their actions (hand seals, running, etc.)
-You can damage underground opponents if you can pinpoint their location

Disadvantages:
-Finding an underground opponent can be hard unless youre a sensory type
-has a small area of effect (I think) so can be easily escaped

Well, it has a small area of effect, but simply using raiton no jutsu (the first D-rank one) into the ground will let the effect stop.

Basically, focus your doton chakra in your mouth. Make a sticky, thick ball of mud with it. You can spit it at their eyes or, oddly enough, into their mouth or around their neck to choke them. If you spit it at their feet, it can create a sticky patch, making it hard for them to move.

*I prepare to look uncute. I build up doton chakra in my stomach (I assume) and change the chakra into a slimy muddy substance. I shape the mud into a ball and force it up and out of my mouth, spitting it into the eyes of my clone.*

Advantages:
-Blinds the opponent leaving them open for an attack if they are not a sensory type
-Distraction if you need to escape if the opponent is not a sensory type

Disadvantages:
-No effect on a sensory type
-Tastes bad

*I build up my doton chakra ad concentrate it in my mouth. I change the state of the chakra to that of a slimy mud and swish it around in my mouth forming it into a ball. When I've formed the mudball I inhale deeply and take careful aim at my clone's eyes as I prepare to shoot the jutsu. I spit the jutsu right into her eyes and blind her.*

Alright. Focus your doton chakra into any rock or rocky structure. This is pretty versatile, as you can attack/defend with it, or just let a cava cave in as said.

*There is a tall cliff siding behind us to I approach it but do not get too close. I build up doton chakra and use it to manipulate the rocks in the wall. I pull the rocks out of the siding and have them come crashing down to the ground ahead of me. They smash into the ground creating deep holes in the terrain.*

Advantages:
-Can alter the terrain to suit the user
-Can smash opponents or force them to move, interrupting their actions

Disadvantages:
-Effectiveness varies on the situation and terrain
-Requires a rock source

Do earth Release: Earth Flow River (which, ironically is the next jutsu >.>) and then do the hand seals. Mold the chakra and shape into that of a muddy dragon. This is the dragon that shoots fire balls that can be set on fire to create lava balls.

*I build up doton and perform the tiger hand seal I use my chakra to create a river of mud from the earth just in front of me. I then perform the Ram → Horse → Dragon hand seal sequence and manipulate the chakra in the river shaping the large amount of mud into a grand dragon head. Once the dragon is fully formed I have it take aim at a clone an fire mudballs at her.*

Advantages:
-creates another companion that attacks on the user's behalf
-can be fused with fire techniques to create lava (and somehow not clay...can you explain that by chance?)

Disadvantages:
-takes 2 moves in battle to create so the opponent needs to be heavily distracted

Well, as for the clay issue. Think about it this way. If you want to harden mud to make some kind of pottery/ceramic substance, it takes a long time and a high amount of heat to make it so. That being said, the distance at which this is used, combined with the velocity of the mud shot out and the temperature of the fire isn't enough to actually make it harden that fast. Basically, it stays lava because it doesn't have enough time to harden or soften if you want to create clay.

She is swept up and covered in mud, very Girls Gone Wild. I practice adding length to the river and shaping its flow around me like a circle.*

-Can sweep an opponent off their feet
-Lays the ground work for Dragon Bullet technique
-Can be changed to lava with a stronger fire technique

Disadvantages:
-A fire user could change the river to lava and use it against me

-Traps an opponent allowing you to follow-up with damage, or give time to escape

Disadvantages:
-A strong lightning attack can destroy the cage.
-Creates a barrier for some attacks that you may want to follow up with.

-Can harm myself is im not careful when using it in close proximity to the opponent or in caves and losen rocks ontop of myself.

Ok, focus your doton chakra in your body. Similar to hiding like a mole, but not quite, as this focus chakra in your body, and in the ground if you wish to move through it, but you can also use this to just move through doton attacks. Like dropping lid, jump up and use this while doing it, to move through it.

*I build up my doton chakra and slip into the ground. I move around like a spy in the earth and emerge behind like an assassin! But mid range behind you cos you're scary sometimes. I then lift a huge rock high over my head and drop it on myself. I use this new jutsu to submerge into the rock as it crashes down onto me. I then emerge from the rock unscathed.*

Advantages:
-Can easy defend against earth based attacks by slipping through them

Disadvantages:
-If immobilized, even if you slip through or into a jutsu like I did in my example, you are still vulnerable to an attack.

Description: The user will first perform the required hand seals Rabbit → Boar → Rat → Horse → Tiger → Snake and then by flowing concentrated chakra from one's palms into the Dragon Veins flowing underground, one can tear the earth apart, creating large chasms by firstly raising the earth in the desired location and then splitting that piece of earth through the centre. The length, width, direction, and curve of the chasm are all up to the user. Manipulating the Dragon Veins requires fine chakra control, but if one has such skill, they can use this technique to divide the space between the enemy and their own team in two, destroy enemy camps or defences, and even to attack.
Note: This does not split the earth appart directly to cause opponents to fall in the fissure.

Ok, do the hand seals. Then, concentrate your chakra into your palms and touch the ground, causing it to flow into the dragon veins underground. Then, tear the ground apart, causing a fissure. You can choose how big and the curve etc it is though. It will need a lot of chakra and manipulation/control though. It’s not an instant technique, though. It takes a little time for the earth to rip apart. Yamato used this to split the earth in between the amaterasu around the Uchiha Hideout.
