anime for action..

manga for everything else.
agreed. The fight sequences in the manga are kind of boring for me and i tend to skim through them if i'm rereading a chapter a lot of the time. Its much more exciting in the anime, i can't wait until the war arc episodes start coming out.

There's going to be some cool battles, Kabuto vs. Sasuke/Itachi, Third raikage fight, Kages vs Madara..

The fillers have been very annoying lately though. These chikara force episodes are kind of boring. I literally fell asleep during the most recent episode last night.

How is that filler if it happened in the manga but wasn't shown?

What is truly a filler?

Is there a difference between non-cannon and filler? could a filler be cannon?

so many questions xd

Chikara is obvious non cannon filler but if the anime shows Kakashi's rampage(i think they have and it wasn't a real rampage), how the 7 swordsmen of the mist were sealed and how Madara beat the Kages would that be non-cannon?
Well, i guess that depends on what your definition of filler is. Is a filler anything that wasn't shown in the manga, even if technically it was something that happened, or does it only apply to arcs that are completely made up and not based off of any events in the manga?

I understand the drag behind fillers in the anime, at least these past fillers are better than the fillers when Naruto was taking the boat to meet Bee on the CLouds mobile Island ....god those were dull

I think that they use 'filler' arcs to bring in/introduce new animations, graphics etc. but I am also looking forward to the upcoming war episodes, after seeing all the Chikara eps, especially the last one well I think the battles will have much better graphics than before. Be interesting to see how they portray the tailed beasts battle!

The way I see it, it happens in the same universe so it's part of Naruto. Might not contribute much to the main story or whatever but I think that most of the 'filler' arcs have shown us some development of certain characters but that is just my opinion on the matter, everyone has their own.

I agree. I consider the fillers as part of the story. I view the manga and anime as to different versions of what is basically the same story.
