Given that the Sharingan see all the flow and chakra disruption and amount. I don't see any advantage Byakugan has over Sharingan, when additionally, it can give colour to different chakra as well, something Byakugan cannot even accomplish, along with seeing Senjutsu.

Seeing how Kaguya has TWO NORMAL Byakugan eyes (obviously born with them) and ONE SPECIAL Sharinnegan eye (in her freaking forehead), I'd say Kakashi was RIGHT in a way.

First, Kakashi has zero idea about the history, so this was a shot in the dark. Second, the sharingan evolved out of the fruit of the God tree as its flower has the Sharingan. She developed it after she ate the fruit. How does it make Kakashi's statement any less contrived and stupid? Even in canon manga, the progenitor Sharingan had nothing to do with the Byakugan, when Kakashi is implying a lesser doujutsu form in terms of insight and origins. Third, the mutation in Kaguya and her power tier climbed exponentially because of the Rinne-Sharingan, which in turn was a metamorphosis induced by the fruit, as it allowed her to control people via genjutsu and use several other abilities.

Without the fruit and the subsequent 9 Tomoe Sharingan, she would have been the same cow fodder the rest of the Hyuga clan now is. What Kakashi is suggesting is the branching out of the eye and being a lesser version of the Byakugan through his dichotomous comparison in the last part of the dialogue. What you are suggesting is looking at it from a general perspective, when I am looking at the entire dialogue. My reply to the other individual had nothing to with Kaguya having a Byakugan or not, but the second point of comparison.

Kaguya and her clan gave them the recognition they deserved. They remained irrelevant because the writer did not make them relevant. This had nothing to do with them being weak. Basically everyone's chakara came from the Kaguya linage. lol What difference does this make anyways?

Byakugan boost your eye sight, make your field of vision nearly 360 ( unless a dead angle big as a pen or less in the neck), you can see through things, and have the hability to see the structure of chakra channels inside a body.

What it means ?
Theorically, it's impossible to kill in the back a byakugan user. A sharingan user: peanuts if you are good enough like kakashi.
So in a true ninja fight and not those erzats of DBZ that kishi gave us through shipuuden, byakugan user is very difficult to take down in the back, contrary to anybody.

Sadly since the uchiha fapboys were more numerous than hyuuga fappers, he added fapping stuff to one, and put the other to the background.
