I totally agree with you. If kishi wasn't too much into sasuke it would be a lot better. There should have been a fight between Neji and sasuke it would have been so cool. Imagine if orochimaru took Neji with him and removed his seal how powerful would have he been but... Yeah. *sighs*

Neji vs Sasuke is the most anticipated yet the most missed opportunity. This is one fight I want to see so badly whether it be in Part 1 or Shippuden unless sasuke gets EMS or God form it'll be impossible for Neji which is the point I've addressed that the Plot gives the sasuke ridiculous powerup

Have you forgot about kaguya and the ootsutski?? They have the byakugan before the rinnegan and sharingan was even born and they even have hyuga counterpart within them. What about the Last Naruto the Movie when Hinata can access to hamura chakra cause she's the hyuga heiress!!!

Indeed, yet none of them really use the byakugan to the extreme that a sharingan/rinnegan has been used. Most they do is see chakra points, not even gentle fist.....sigh
Hinata was thrown into a cage right after her hamura chakra powered attacked, which anticlimactically did nothing to the orb until naruto helped her.

Yet they nerfed her Byakugan and I'm sure you know Kaguya was more plot restriction so hard than Toneri+Momo combined. Sakura punching Kaguya should not be the case but oh well I guess it all thanks to Kakashi and team 7 team work that allows sakura to get to that point.

Naruto couldn't do anything about the orb as well unless he has hamura chakra which he did not. Naruto only simpily helped Hinata to ampify her chakra so she could destroy it.
How did they nerf it? She only used it to see chakra points :lol
Also some say the byakugan's blind spot is where Sakura was at with the punch.

Momo absorb power is rinnegan, toneri used tenseigon, and kaguya used rinne sharingan.

Only Hinata/someone with Hamura chakra could break it, but after her Hamura chakra boost she still couldn't.....Kishi could've easily allowed her to break it, but nope she didn't really display anything impressive with her "boost".

She used Godly vacuum air palm, she used external range attack to block chakra point thanks to her byakugan which is the extension of the hyuga, she rely her byakugan to detect against naruto clones. They nerfed kaguya cause her byakugan gives the advantage to being pre occupying while her rinnesharingan allows to detect and easily give her time to evade yet none of these 2 sensory dojutsu was able to do the trick and unlike Sasuke who failed to touch kaguya, sakura managed to do it...
What's more is that byakugan only have 1 degree blindspot located behind her neck so sakura shouldn't able to fit in within the blindspot. This is complete nerfed...
kinishi was able to track sasuke speed thanks to his byakugan. Momo rely on byakugan to give him the manuevar in battle especially in the latter half of this movie when momo absorbed Kinishiki you can clearly see his vein and went toe to toe with naruto and sasuke. You think Byakugan has to have ocular power like sharingan or rinnegan in order to be OP but no you are clearly wrong if you think that way. Byakugan clearly helps you in battle situation
Cause Hinata has low chakra reserve so she need more chakra to enhance her hamura chakra to break it.

Ah well, we can only hope to see that in fillers. The series would have been lot cooler if it wasn't for stupid power ups for sasuke and Naruto. It's original message 'hard work can change destiny or whatever' doesn't mean anything at this point. They were destined as it said. I can imagine Neji fumming with anger seeing the end of the manga.
Of course, no one would be when the fight wouldn't be even fair.
