yeah hxh manga isn't that good ,anime is definitely better and yeah i already gave up on it before hxh 2011 came out but surprisingly after the that last arc i was hyped as hell.

the author said that his back hurts and apparently he can't draw manga Lol that's like the most lame excuse i ever heard .....

This is Jan of 2015. Roughly 18 years? Total chapter 349. That's an average of 19 chapters per year. Yeah he should go for monthly series. But then publishers may ask for a few more pages per chapter and that may bring it to the length of some 20chapters length for him per year!! Who is going to draw that extra one??

Thing is if he can keep it this way because WSJ allows it and it suits him just fine. If he has that much back ache he should either get assitents or really go for monthly routine. It's not like he never had any assitents or help before. He used one a few times and his wife also helped him at least on one occasion. But he doesn't bother with either.

yeah i agree he should go for the monthly routine, but i kinda understand him tho he probably got sick of all this manga stuff ,i think he just want's to quite.....

Togashi is a based man if the manga becomes monthly, it will become the next berserk(guts and company are still on the boat for a decade), the boat won't reach the DC.

i liked hxh and it was really cool but its not the best anime ever like some people claim. for one even though its an action/fighting anime the fights are absolutely boring. sure its nice to know the characters are smart but seriously who comes up with five different battle plans in a nano second based of baseless speculations and assumptions about their opponents? also the story tries to make the most simplest thing deep and complex 90% of the time turning an explanation that couldve been done in a sentence into the entire episode.

also non of the fights in the entire series was between people in the same league. whether it was a good guy or a bad guy they were overwhelmingly more powerful than their opponent to the point they didnt have a chance to win save the one guy who used smoke powers(his fights were the only ones i actually liked) everything else was just meh. even the meurem vs netero fight wasnt actually that great yes it had a lot of symbolism, messages, and contradictions that was supposed to pull a tear out of you eye but that didnt happen and despite netero being a martial artist we never got to see him in an awesome hand to hand fight like i wwas hoping for the entire series. also gon vs pitou was hyped up for being a good fight but it was just a beat down so bad i felt bad for her.

lastly my unborn niece and nephew can draw better than the artsyle in hxh.

Anyways we are talking about quality here, not 'breaks'. I know even if Togashi overdoes it, it is indeed well written.
I am talking about manga here btw, Animewise there are many better animes.

It should be on top list of everyone who doesn't mind waiting 2 years or more for the next few chapters. One Piece probably will end sooner than this one. :|

I've skimmed through the anime, I never watched the entire series.

Someday I might sit down and watch the entirety of it...someday.

Enjoy that Madhouse greatness. It's the best shonen anime adaptation I've seen.

OT: Yes HxH is awesome and welcome to the club. Although I won't say it's perfect though. The anime skipped out on things here and there and the beginning of the series had censored scenes which is probably because the show aired in the morning. Thankfully it got switched to a later time slot before Chimera.

Anyways, the series itself as well isn't perfect but for sure it's top 3. You should check out the latest manga chapters for HxH (chp 341-349) they're perfection and the anime obviously never covered those chapters (the last ep. covered till the end of chapter 339). If Togashi keeps this up quality for chapters 341-349, the Dark Continent arc could be one of the best shonen arcs ever easily.

You should try reading Toriko btw seeing how you enjoyed Hunter X Hunter a lot. Just don't watch it's anime since it's butchered.

Well anime> manga yeah, but let's not forget that gon was always talented, he always came up for plans for his team in the hunter exam and even in the phantom troupe arc so yeah

And I don't really minde constant fights, seeing how it's always some good ass animation

Manga isn't really that good but at the end of the day the stroy is still the same and anime barley changes anything
