If you were worried that the 2011 Hunter x Hunter anime hasn't slowed it pace and the manga hasn't accelerated its, turned out that your concerns were valid. Mantanweb spoke to Megumi Han, voice of the series' lead, Gon Freecss about being a second generation voice actress (her mother was Keiko Han, Gundam's Lalah Sune), her first major role, and the fact that production of the series has concluded with episode 148.

The next episode to run is 143 on August 19th. The previous adaptation of the series ran 1999 and ending its 62 episode run in 2011 with the Yorknew arc before a series of 30 OVAs picked it up and adapted the Greed Island story.

Pff why in the hell a break, I don't read the manga but heard from a friend there is a year timeskip in the manga , why not add some fillers to fill up the year timeskip..Add some from Kurapika leorio etc would be interesting and we could still watch the anime.

This is the best choice to be honest. The mangaka is not the fastest one around so fillers are not an option unless u want 1-2 years fillers
Stopping now and start again later is the correct answer, if they would continue then u would have half canon/half filler episodes in the anime just like in One Piece
Madhouse is smarter than Toei

He isn't completely lazy, he actually had health problems. Don't be ignorant. He obviously spent those 2 years working on his art so he can draw huge panels like these:

See told you I'll wait till it happens. Better than wasting money on stupid fillers like in Naruto and prolonging each episode with stupid commentary, opening song & ending song of 8 minutes and showing one chapter per episode like One Piece.

LOOL true that. OP's anime needs to go on a long filler arc but it's highly unlikely. Anyways, enjoy watching it.

Most likely yes, I'd say after 2 arcs in the manga, they'll continue it. I thought madhouse would milk HxH and go with fillers or continue dark continent at a chapter per ep. pacing. Boy, was I wrong and thank god they're not milking this series.
