Apex predator that uses our own Earth as a womb and playground to develop even further, you'd be thankful if the day comes when we meet other destructive species.
Ever thought about it might be a good thing we "destroy" our environment to learn from our mistakes? Besides, Nature itself is particularly good at destroying and recreating itself. Mother nature is our wonderful teacher in the ways of destruction and creation.
Would we do good to preserve some more? That's a question for another thread.
Can we refine our crude ways at times? Yes, we could, but yet, we won't.
Don't worry about the animals and such, there will be a time when we won't even pay attention to them and they can thrive once more. For now, it's our era.
