How would you have written Obito better to make him evil?

You still need to incorporate Rin and his massacre of the most ninja into somehow, but he doesn't need to be as obsessed with Rin as he was in the manga and that doesn't need to be the reason for him killing the mist ninja is bloody glory. Or it can, it's up to you but what would you add/change to make his character more believable/interesting/disturbing/scary?

Make him start to think the world is hell long before his supposed death. Make rin just one of the contributions to his belief not the main trigger. Give him other attachments, like say he saw his parents corpses in the battlefield or something.

Yeah and flesh out his relationship with Rin more to show why he clung to her so tightly as his "only light"

I liked him perfectly as he is. There's this thing called sub-text and if you guys paid him nearly as much attention as you do Itachi, Sasuke or Madara...you'd know that thinking that Rin was his only motivation for the War is a horrible oversimplification. One of the more broken, interested and developed characters in the series.

Kakashi is a character who overplayed the Rin theme a little hard nearer the end of Obito's life in the manga. That's the only time the themes the character embodied got a little annoying. But i'd still take that over the 1000 wasted pages of Uchiha feat wanking fanservice the other ones receive.

"Rin was my only light", some just refuse to see what he meant by that. Remember, this was a war, shinobi was dying left and right. I don't think Obito even had any parents. Outside Kakashi and Rin, did he even have any friends? He was only 13. I can't really blame a kid for attaching onto something they love during such turbulent times, looking for that "ray of light". When Rin died, he had nothing. The wars and corrupt governments only made it worse, plus, there's Madara TNJ.

To put it simply, no matter how dark the world was, he wouldn't have started a war if Rin never died. But, if Rin died, and the world was a peaceful place full of aboveboard and gentle people, then he would have never started the war.

Even Kakashi admitted the world was hell, and had doubts of his own. However, they're two different people. Obito also had Madara whispering in his ear, and Kakashi's comrades probably supported him.

I really wouldn't have changed anything about Obito himself - Obito was the single most realistic character in the manga, and one of the better portrayed characters. What I would change however are two things; I'd change his death - because holy f*ck did that guy need to die a LOT sooner than he did, he should have died like 5 times. And I also would have changed his conversion - Im fine with Obito being "redeemed" like just about every other villain because his character is really the only one that makes sense to redeem, HOWEVER I would change it so that Naruto doesnt redeem him as that made no sense at all - instead I'd replace Naruto with Kakashi like it should have been

1. Keep Obito's powers

2. Obito's mind and body physically corrupted by Madara's Will, essentially like a Cancer jutsu, warping his thoughts and slowing his thought processes. This effectively makes Talk no Jutsu useless. Shinobi Alliance MUST incapacitate or kill Obito.

3. Obito himself killed Rin, but because of Kakashi's shared sharingan's dimensional abilities and Obito's unsympathetic mind, caused Kakashi to believe himself the murderer all those years ago.

4. When Obito becomes Jinchuriki (under Madara's orders in order to keep Obito alive to bring Madara back to life), he remembers who he is and attempts to destroy Madara as the jinchuriki, but fails.

5. When Obito fails (about to die), gives Kakashi the second sharingan, removing the "Obito gave Kakashi powers from the dead" nonsense.

Probably draw him looking sad at some corpses during Kakashi Gaiden, having a brief rant of his parents dying on the battlefield (crying for a bit and stuff), say that he wish that peace would exist and stuff, maybe have him mention that it isn't possible unless one use drastic means (albeit without an evil feeling, more like a dissapointed tone).

Maybe shows him and Rin as orphans who grew up together with a group of children in an orphanage, with each of their pals dying, getting permanently crippled at a young age, going insane with what they saw and stuff, until Rin and Obito are basically the only ones left. His resurrection could involve him running away from Madara for a longer period of time, as he try to help innocents villages and stuff from the shadows, only to see each person he save being killed in a crossfire, or a village destroyed to root out wounded soldiers here, or the effects of the mass scale battles.

Rin's death then happens and Obito is now convinced that Humanity is rotten to its core, especially when Madara informs him that the war ended, and how each village is just waiting to leap back for the conflict. Obito decide to go all moon plan, etc.

What needs to be know is that Obito never did all of this because Rin, tho. She was a huge factor, but her death just convinced him that the ninja world is a rotten, think of it as a last straw.

He said it himself the rinnegan was driving him nuts as well as narutos will reminding him of himself the more he was around him. If nobody Tobi has no traumating event then he's boring

Not letting the rock solo him, hard to take him serious after that.

Her big traumatic moment is when her sons sealed her up in the moon.
"Kaguya's tears," yet she still remained an horrible character.
I think it's more about doing it than talking about it.
