How would the base be different.

Most of the popular threads are about Sakura and Hinata so how would the base be different if things had ended differently

Scenario 1
The movie wasn't about a pairing but about something else, and Naruto was still with Hinata.

Scenario 2
Sakura is with Naruto and the movie is about them, basically she replaces Hinata.

Why wouldn't it have sold so much? Say If It was about everyone surely all fan bases would of United making it more successful.

Scenario 1 - no difference if everything eise remained the same. Why? The topic of the movie was irrelevant. It was the fact that Kishi said it was connected to canon coupled with the end of the manga that made it a success.

Scenario 2 - might have increased the Sakura hate (I know, it is hard to imagine it could be any worse) as rabid NH shippers lash out in their frustration

You'd have to change the whole series for there to be a different perspective of Sakura and Hinata, not the ending...
