How will Itachi be honored?

As Konoha's hero and the future Hokage, Naruto will forsure make sure that Itachi's heroic acts will be honored and remembered. But how, a statue of Itachi in Konoha, make an Itachi holiday, name his son after Itachi, or call for a Konoha gathering to tell everyone the truth about Itachi?

Three things:
1. Naruto himself really doesn't know the full story of what Itachi did. He only knows that things aren't exactly as they seem.
2. I believe Naruto and Sasuke are likely to die facing each other as has been heavily shadowed, so even if Naruto wanted to, there wouldn't be a Itachi remembrance.
3. Even if Naruto makes it to Hokage, he's not going to publicly honor Itachi because it would acknowledge that the village was responsible for massacring a large subset of its people.

It wasn't totally destroyed, he wanted to preserve the Uchiha name.
So far, barely anyone knows the truth, the elders will never reveal it, Yamato is incapacitated, Naruto would respect his wish and so would Bee IMO. Kakashi was the one to decide it was better not to tell anyone, so only Sasuke and Tobi is left really. Kabuto is probably done for, or will be soon.

Hope of all this being kept secret is still strong

I think Itachi should be honoured. Naming Naruto's son 'Itachi' would be pointless. That would put his son in a lot of pressure to achieve something as great or greater than Itachi Uchiha's feats. How ridiculous would it be if Itachi Uzumaki started to take over the world - that would ruin Itachi Uchiha's reputation. It's just like naming a child Jesus or God! Too much expectations...
