I keep on imagining it but I don't like the idea of sleeping without waking up forever...

Unfortunately, the ones who have truly done it are in no condition to tell us. I'd say it depends on how old you are. If you're later in a typical human lifespan, I'd imagine it would scare you very little and some even welcome it. I'm 23 and I can't really imagine it at the moment.

It won't feel like anything. Remember how it was before you were born? Ya neither do I.

You wouldn't feel a thing.

Cuz you'll be too busy being dead.

Ah, i always imagined that in a quick death your last thoughts would be probably dizzyness or fuzziness before it's lights out and..you 'sleep.' kinda now and kinda similar to just closing your eyes and going to bed.

do you ever notice how when you wake up you don't remember anything? [except on the nights that you dream] your mind is usually blank but you just get up and go about your day. that's how i imagine death. a black blank

Nothing, to even come close, you'd have to know what it feels like to be numbed from the neck down?

All depends on how u die. The process can be painful, but death is no more than the brain and later the body ceasing activity. Like flipping the off switch never to turn on again

I hope my death is quick and painless like someone snapping my neck when I'm not looking or something

Sounds brutal, but i would much rather die peacefully of old age in my sleep. Other than that, yeah quick and painless is the way to go

There have been many people that have been revived after being dead for a short time and some of them actually have confessed memories of transcendence of some type. Some might describe it as a glimpse of heaven, but its truly impossible to say for certain as it might just be one's imagination running wild shortly after death. We all know the brain still has activity for a reasonable amount of time after one's initial death.

Either way, if you die in your sleep it would be plenty uneventful mentally, but in any other way, how you feel at the moment of death won't last long anyway.

I'd like to think there's an afterlife, because I too don't like the idea of never waking up.
Hopefull later in life we'll get to that point where we welcome it.

It's impossible to find out, but i find it hard to believe that we just disappear, or go it heaven or hell, maybe your soul just wonders the earth as a ghost, or you get reborn again with a new body and new memories.

When you die, everything is played back like a tape being rewinded, you will see your life and the lifes of the people you have indirectly and directly affected, at the end of which you either become observed mass or you rejoin the source.
