mine has gotten a hell of a lot better. I went from not knowing where my life was gonna go to now I'm getting married and building my career. It's amazing how things can change so quickly.

You may be better off, you never know. Feeling different doesn't mean its worse. You may just be thinking more clearly about how you really don't know what to do rather than having a casual "oh it'll be fine" outlook. Just keep your head up, you never know when something or someone comes along that changes everything for the better. Just keep an open mind, is all I can say I guess. =/ Sorry I can't be of more help.

Things has gotten better. I've matured. I know what and what not to do wrong that could ruin my life in the future. I know something I want to do when I grow up that I'm positive of. I think I probably also found my half x3 but I'm not sure so I'm not going to get my hopes up. :|

5 years ago i whas 19 had no diploma and whas working heavy labor.

Now i've gained and lost some. My brother died 2 years ago and i've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and can no longer work physically. On the other hand, i gained a diploma ICT and work with my mind now. I'm also going to live together with my g/f in 2 months and we are thinking of starting with kids.

So really you win some you lose some.

It's pretty cliché to say 'just wait and see, better times will come'. Honestly waiting doesn't really bring anything. You really have to shape your own future/happyness. Instead of some bum with no money cause of some affliction i turned it around and make more money now then ... ever. Ofcourse i had to go to college in the evening while i worked fulltime during the day for 3 years straight. Waiting didn't bring me my degree, i did.

What you are feeling is most likely the loss of a timespan. Like childhood or being a teen or some chapter in your life has closed off and you haven't yet gotten the grasp of this new era you're in.

Am i making sense to you?

Well, since this stranger bit me five years ago I've had an insatiable lust for brains.

But on a serious note, 5 years ago I dropped out of high school, quit my job, joined the army, went to Iraq, become messed up in the head, was kicked out of the army, became unemployed, initiated plan mooch off my mom until I can start college/get a job. That's also my first run on sentence in over five years. Life is great!

Is it ok if i ask your age?

Perhaps you've come to a point in life where your biological clock is ticking. Perhaps something is telling you you've rached the age to settle down. Maybe someone on your enviroment has done so? This would explain the feeling of not having something important to do in your life.
