How to fight depression? Simple, be optimistic,(no joke) that's how I live my life, It makes no sense stressing yourself over something it only hurts you in the long, instead you could be positive about it, be thankful that you're still alive at least, as long as you're alive you can do something, you can better yourself and make that change, it's only too late when you're six feet under chinatown.

You make a good point m. Changing your mantra of negative thinking from day to day does go a long way. I hate how America wants to classify it as a disease like it needs to be treated with more pills and can't be "cured" otherwise.

Sorry, I'm too lazy to watch a ~9mins video right now. But this topic is indeed interesting.

Depression is a disease that can't really be treated with medicine. Time, as well as love and devotion from friends and family are much more important than that. Depression is like a deep wound that needs a long time to heal. The wound caused by depression eventually turns into a scar that will never vanish, but when a person managed to gain the upper hand against the depression, it won't "bleed" or "hurt" anymore. The amount of time that it takes is depending on the affected person itself and the cause/root of the depression. Help from the "outside" is absolutely important, not only from friends but also from doctors and (a) therapist/s. At the same time, the person who is dealing with depression has to fight from the "inside" too. Take your time. Try to distract yourself from dark thoughts and search for things that make you happy. Even if something only makes you smirk for a second. That's a first step.
It won't be easy, but it's absolutely worth it.

Drugs are easier than 9 minute video which is not going to make any change in the end.

That video is super long and I'm too depressed to even watch it hahahaha.
There's this saying that says that "sadness it like a flu, but depression is like cancer."
And that's pretty strong. I'm always here for anyone who feels depressed and understands how it feels.
How to treat depression? It's a hard thing to do. Once someone is deep in that sadness, it's hard to convince them that they're worth something. They're so drowned in negative thoughts and thinking they're not good enough, when really, they're beautifully great to this world. I wish I could help everyone who is struggling tbh

Yes, I'm dealing with it too. However, the worst times are left behind.
