How to emulate the XBOX controller On PC?

Can anyone help me out with this computer related/gaming problem? I cant afford to buy an xbox controller but i have two generic controller gampads similar to the build up of a ps3 model and i would like to use it does anyone know how to? I have searched thousands of youtube videos and watched several tutorials but to no avail.

I managed to have my PS3 controller recognized as an xbox 360 controller on my pc.

I have a GENERIC controller not a ps3 controller and i would like it to emulate an XBOX controller so i can play games.
