How to create a one forum and how much money will you spend?

I am seriously obsess on making my own anime forum just like this and other anime forum I have been a member. so I am planning to create and make my own anime forum. I have plenty of money, so if anyone is willing to help me, guide me, give me tips. feel free to pm and I will give out my skype.

This is my basic questions:

How much money will it cost on buying my own forum host (BEST and extra gadgets with youtube mp3 codes and tags etc.)?

Should I be the one to make all the CSS and HTML stuff?

How can I maintain the forum without bandwidth due to most of the forum I have been with always troubleshooting with the bandwidth problems.

I'm not advertising a forum. I haven't made any and I am just a curious person. so how come you tell its a pose of competition and youre sure of it? (what If I say I am making a local not international forum)

I even didn't mention any other anime forums website link over here. there is always the pm or private message if someone is willing to help me figure out my questions and this is IT Centre? how come I couldn't make a thread regarding this kind of forum making issues?

Buying and asking info's about how to have your own forum being prohibited is too legit enough to measures sensitivity of ones forum leaders.

show me some proof of your so called instances of some ones threads that has been taken down due to this kind of issues and matters.

you should understand whats written on the description of this section. I have no idea if you are just trolling this thread or not. This is my first time to encounter such sarcastic comments coming from a 2012 member regarding of how to get rid of threads asking for help about handling a forum. what is the sense of this section by the way? what is the main purpose why this section is here? mind to elaborate it?

I am asking people to PM me not to stop me because I have done such a crime like this?

The best choice for making a forum would be to use vBulletin forum software.

The best package is around $500, and that's without a server to put the software onto and without a domain name.

Creating and maintaining a forum is very expensive, and I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a lot of money and you, for whatever reason, don't like money.

It's like throwing money at a wall. There's no guarantee that it's even going to be popular.

Do I have to pay 500$ everymonth? I've heard something like that. I have my own money. I don't know what to do with it so I'll try spending it with making a forum such as this.

The fact is, I am hearing this thing you have said. vBulletin but I really have no idea what it is? and whats its use. how it is connected in making a forum and all

I would not recommend you to start your own forum unless you have knowledge in web development. Ofc there is sites and services which makes it very easy to make your own site, however it will never become successful that way. So the only tip I can give is to buy books about webdevelopment, html, php, jscript, mysql and so on and start study. Also the softwares for forums are quite expensive unless you run with a freeware one, but they are usually not all that good either and not very secure. And once you get enough members server costs will be quite expensive too. So yeah all in all it takes a whole lot of effort and time and it also takes some money if you want to make something serious.

Thanks for the info. I guess you are right. I should study more about it first before I build up my own. I have this friend who is willing to help me but I think its not enough. he something says I should know how web development goes such as what you have said.

Actually I graduated programming but in the Visual basic language I am good at. so I may try checking out other languages I guess especially web development.

I have my free forum which members reached 400+ but I'm not sure if that is enough of it.
