How the Hyuuga actually stack up against Uchiha?

Great thread OP. The average Uchihas's genjutsu lvl is enough to wipe out the Hyuuga. The sharingan just has so much dynamic potential, I hardly see any Hyuuga using CQC to beat them. One member of the Uchiha Clan is enough to wipe out the Hyuuga.

See you would think that, but the Hyuga have a chakra reading and piercing dojutsu; something the Senju clan never had, and the Uchiha could never overpower the Senju. Kishi's inconsistency with genjutsu and how it works. We had Chiyo and Kakashi in the Rescue Gaara arc saying it was dangerous and suicidal to attack an Uchiha with Sharingan one on one. And yet during Hashirama's era and before, Senju were slaying Uchiha in one on one bouts. Look at Tobirama vs Izuna. By rights, Izuna should've one since Sharingan genjutsu is so powerful and instantaneous, but Tobirama shrugged it off.


I highly suspect that Kishi didn't know how to incorporate genjutsu into fast paced, kinetic actions scenes. Characters in other anime, manga, and comics (DC and Marvel) use illusions for battle in believable and fast paced ways. Genjutsu in the NV leaves a person in a drooling stupor until they are released from it. That's boring, and probably why Kishi never drew a scene of Sasuke using genjutsu against Naruto. Despite them coming to blows 5 times in the mangas run.

Yeah I agree. One easy example is latest Avenger:The age of Ultron movie where Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch tricked Avenger's member in an Illusion very seamlessly.

Loki is an illusionist as well, and he makes it work great. Other characters like Scarecrow, Projectra, Mysterio, Raven, Gypsy, Jason Stryker, all use illusions that do more than stupify their opponent. They cast illusions on themselves or their surroundings to help them fight.

Sure it does, 3T is where Uchiha maxed out at the end of part 1 until MS came into play in part 2. Hyuuga could block chakra points, any 3T Uchiha with blocked chakra points are screwed, they can detect and see flow of chakra in themselves or others. The only strong line of attack 3T sharingan has over Byakugan is genjutsu, but as I already stated Hyuuga detecting flow of chakra dispells that.

Now when you stack MS or higher against them, of course Hyuuga don't measure up to inextinguishable fire and spiritual megazords, most clans don't. This isn't a excuse, this is fact.

Detecting genjutsu </ dispelling one. To combat the sharigan you need more than taijutsu because they can easily read through that.

A byakugan has never broken genjutsu ever. More false rumors spread by the Hyuuga fan lobby.

They're only two Uchiha’s with Sharigan left Sasuke and Sarada. Matter of fact the only others with Sharigan are the Boys that are Zetsu like. The Hyuga Clan is sill intact with lots of Members. The boys with the Sharigan are more likely to replace Sasuke and Sarada at some point if they mate and pass on the Sharigan.

Hiashi said Neji learned techniques that only the heirs were able to learn and goes on to say he surpassed the main branch. So technique wise yes Neji >>>>>>99% of the Hyuuga. Strength & experience wise is unknown, but we can ultimately conclude that chunin Neji was indeed stronger than then majority of the clan easily.

It's funny that you mention that, because even if it's as you say where 80% of the Uchiha didn't have the sharingan, they still equaled the Senju with no mention of the Hyuga clan being even slightly close to their level.

So if you want to say that a clan with 80% average shinobi is still greater than a clan with 100% Doujutsu, that's fine by me.

And even if you believe the 20% with the sharingan made up for the 80% that didn't have it, that still means 1 Uchiha with a 3T sharingan is equal to 2, 3, 4, or even possibly 5 Hyuga with the Byakugan. But that's the math you've chosen.

What you aren't understanding is that

Skilled ninjas > numbers. Minato solo'd an entire war, Sasuke took on thousands of ninjas by himself. It doesn't particulary matter that two Uchihas killed off the entire clan because 1. they were Uchiha themselves and 2 they were both strong af.

That's why they attacked at night when most of them weren't ready and asleep. The leader let himself be killed and didn't even warn the others. If they were ready for battle the outcome might have been different.

How did I fail? I simply stated 1 Sole Uchiha (Itachi or Sasuke) is capable of wiping out all Hyuuga in a fight. You seem to have misinterpreted what I was saying, fail.
