You wildin' on this one Infant. 6pop is a village buster and in no way, shape or form would Neji ever have been a village buster. He died to a stick because of low IQ calculations. You sound like a Neji fan talking like that. There's just no way. There's still not many characters that can beat 6pop solo.

And what makes you think Neji would have learned gates? I don't remember that ever being implied. That's a wild assumption. Also, the Hyuuga clan is only able to do so much. I don't think he would have ascended any techniques of the clan. If granpa Hyuuga hasn't done it, if Hanabi hasn't done it, if Hinata hasn't done it, there is absolutely no supporting evidence that Neji would ever be able to accomplish something of that nature.

I'll say this again, he would have been about as strong as Hinata is now bar the Otsu buffs.

Edit: Also, just as a bonus, 6pop and Konan solo'd an entire village. The strongest village in Naruto history. Nah... Nah...

Development

Someone like Kurotsuchi is now able to land hits on an alien who specialises in hand to hand combat. Think about that.

As for why Neji could match that, he already has showings of outpacing KCM Naruto in reactions and sensing (his death) and pushed back something the size of a full tailed beast. Again, think about that.

As for gates, that's just a guess, nothing special. As you say, a single Hyuga has limited potential, so i think he would have learned techniques from outside the clan. The gates are just an example.

As for Hinata, we don't really disagree. Remember Hinata has enough energy to now recharge RSM Naruto (moon fight). Imagine that much energy packed into an Air Palm . . . village busting?

it's hard to gauge neji cuz power creep on the new gen is disgusting

as strong as P1 kakashi/kabuto/zabuza wouldn't be too bad either

as strong as shippuden asuma is fair as well

Choji, Sasuke, Naruto and Sakura are the only ones that gain significant growth over time.

There’s no need for comparison because Neji growth wasn’t comparable to Kakashi who was already much stronger.
