We dont have enough info to say the sannins were stronger than the white fang. But translation does say they paled in comparison to him. So from that, I take it that he was stronger than the three of them (separately) during his time.

Who knows how strong he is. If kishi goes through with the whole Minato spin off, I would like to see Hatake mentor him a tad, not as much as jiraiya or kakashi but like how yamamoto did with naruto.
