lol Chidori is not a blunt but piercing attack. How did that happen? xD Have no idea what chap to start searching for the scan. Do you have it?He sent flying RSM Naruto pretty far with chidori during vote2. Raiton doesn't work like boil release for example, so it was his own physical strength.
At the very beginning of the vote2 battlelol Chidori is not a blunt but piercing attack. How did that happen? xD Have no idea what chap to start searching for the scan. Do you have it?

Yup, although because of the perspective, the very first scan isn't really showing the distance properly. It looks like Naruto is still kind of close to statues and coasts.[You must be registered for see links]-[You must be registered for see links]
This right? Not bad at all.
I know I’m probably gonna feel dumb lol, but what are you referring to?
Oh wow.. that is more impressive than i thought it was. The fact it wasn't even a fist from Sasuke that launched him that far is ridiculous.Yup, although because of the perspective, the very first scan isn't really showing the distance properly. As we know, Naruto didn't really move after he landed. We saw him get up and block arrows with TSB, then Sasuke flied up to him with PS, which means that from this scan :
the first and smallest shockwave, where the water is already falling down, is where their avatars clashed, so this is actually where Naruto landed. Sasuke launched him to nearly half of the lake.

As for when Chidori became blunt attack, that's a good question. This is where logic went out of window, but I think Kishi had to do it for plot sake. Realistically speaking, if not for plot this is where the fight could already end. Sasuke got the drop on Naruto with chidori and should pierce right through him(well maybe it wouldn't actually oneshot him, but nonetheless this is what should happen). Naruto could not die yet, but at the same time, Kishi couldn't just make him withstand Sasuke's attack like it's nothing. Well we already know what a brilliant solution he found, but at the same time as much as it doesn't make sense, he achieved what he wanted. Naruto was able to survive, and he still made Sasuke's attack look quite powerful right?
I guess you could say, it was literally main hero plot armor Sasuke couldn't pierce through![]()
Kishi had to literally change the mechanics of one of the oldest jutsu in the series... hilarious isn't it?
Good thing you used probably cause you were incorrect as hell lolProbably not as physically strong as Gai or Lee either.

Makes sense.Nice break down
@BOLDUnderline
It's not a lack of logic but simply science(kinetic energy). Naruto's Cloak protected him from the attack however the momentum(kinetic energy) from the blow is what flung him.
Think of a Spear hitting a shield:
If the shield is strong enough to take the blow the user must also be strong enough or balanced enough to handle the momentum of the strike otherwise they lose balance or get pushed back.

^^Great movie btw^^
Simply put while yes Sasuke did put a lot of force into that strike. Naruto was also off balanced when the strike occurred meaning he blocked the attack but had no way to cushion the force
Dude there's no plothole. If your skin is hard enough that a sword can't pierce you then the sword attack becomes a blunt force attack. This is common sense.Yup, although because of the perspective, the very first scan isn't really showing the distance properly. It looks like Naruto is still kind of close to statues and coasts.

Naruto's cloak was tough enough that Sasuke's chidori couldn't pierce it.
You just don't wana admit the obvious coz you're a Sasuke/Uchiha nuthugger.
If thats the case then JuubijinMadara would tank the chidori blade but he got sliced in half.Dude there's no plothole. If your skin is hard enough that a sword can't pierce you then the sword attack becomes a blunt force attack. This is common sense.

You weren't wrong and Mellanoma wasn't entirely right either. Naruto was also turning while he was caught with a fraction of the Chidori output. It didn't get a chance to pierce through and discharge. If it was a straight spear on shield as Mellanoma put it Naruto and his cloak protected him then Naruto would've face planted the water. The fact that Naruto used TSBs against Susa arrows also become problematic. Their use would mean the arrows can pierce through the shield or are stronger than Chidori.Actually fanboy would deny what Mellanoma and you said and then proceed to drag the discussion endlessly.
Instead I just literally admitted to Mellanoma i was wrong, so piss off with that last sentence, or learn to read properly. Just because someone has character in both ava and sig, doesn't always mean he's a fanboy.
I only explained the science behind "Why it was blunt" could careless about the actual situation although. You weren't wrong and Mellanoma wasn't entirely right either. My intention wasn't to dismiss your efforts which I commend, however I was highlighting the energy wouldn't be entirely released and the way. The spear would graze across Naruto instead of actually pierce due to the turning changing the angle and not allowing penetration.I only explained the science behind "Why it was blunt" could careless about the actual situation although.

From this scan it seems Sasuke attacked angled upward and Naruto did the best he could to evade / balance himself causing him to fly back. I stated all this but regardless my only purpose was explaining the science.
