Yup, although because of the perspective, the very first scan isn't really showing the distance properly. It looks like Naruto is still kind of close to statues and coasts.

As we know, Naruto didn't really move after he landed. We saw him get up and block arrows with TSB, then Sasuke flied up to him with PS, which means that from this scan :

the first and smallest shockwave, where the water is already falling down, is where their avatars clashed, so this is actually where Naruto landed. Sasuke launched him to nearly half of the lake.

As for when Chidori became blunt attack, that's a good question. This is where logic went out of window, but I think Kishi had to do it for plot sake. Realistically speaking, if not for plot this is where the fight could already end. Sasuke got the drop on Naruto with chidori and should pierce right through him(well maybe it wouldn't actually oneshot him, but nonetheless this is what should happen). Naruto could not die yet, but at the same time, Kishi couldn't just make him withstand Sasuke's attack like it's nothing. Well we already know what a brilliant solution he found, but at the same time as much as it doesn't make sense, he achieved what he wanted. Naruto was able to survive, and he still made Sasuke's attack look quite powerful right?
I guess you could say, it was literally main hero plot armor Sasuke couldn't pierce through
Kishi had to literally change the mechanics of one of the oldest jutsu in the series... hilarious isn't it?

Think of a Spear hitting a shield:

If the shield is strong enough to take the blow the user must also be strong enough or balanced enough to handle the momentum of the strike otherwise they lose balance or get pushed back.

The fact that Naruto used TSBs against Susa arrows also become problematic. Their use would mean the arrows can pierce through the shield or are stronger than Chidori.

My intention wasn't to dismiss your efforts which I commend, however I was highlighting the energy wouldn't be entirely released and the way. The spear would graze across Naruto instead of actually pierce due to the turning changing the angle and not allowing penetration.
