I can't believe how many people are underestimating Teach here...Blackbeard could injure Shanks and people think he's Arlong level...really? Blackbeard injured Shanks sometime after Roger's fight with Shiki and I'd be willing to bet it was even after Roger was executed as well.
Teach is and has been powerful for a while now he was probably as strong as one of the Whitebeard commanders even before Ace joined.
I have a feeling people are really saying Blackbeard is weak without a DF purely because they don't like him there was obviously a reason Blackbeard has the ability to become a Commander of the Whitebeard pirates before he got the Yami Yami No Mi.
Also we know Blackbeard is both physically strong and durable without DF powers so to say he's Arlong level and even Lucci level is an insult to his character.
