yield is proportional to energy release, so you can't use cross section of the area, that won't get you a valid calc

Just use the popular G.I Taylor eqn. He used the same method you just did but with a real explosion. Basically yield is proportional to R^5 / t^2. So when you say 2 terratonnes that is crazy.

It's based on the size of mountains, that calc was a combined effort of both BM and hachibi, so it'd make sense which were big mountains, the amount of joules required to destroy many portion of them, which gave the number within joules basing on the volume destroyed which was energy = 62260207398.09 * 1000000 * 214.35 = 13345475455780591500 J

And continuation, which put up this number 2615817 MT. I'm not adept at DC calc's in general, I'm more into speed calc's tbh. This was done by fluttershy, credits to him, was accepted on the OBD, the calc included the scaling of the mountains. Which were large, and energy output was based on the volume destroyed (1/3*pi*r^2*h)/2 = (1/3*pi*(12496/2)^2*3046)/2 = 62260207398.09 m^3
