cant beat any kage currently, that is without dying, if he activates 8 gates, then the only person i see surviving the attack is tsunade because of her regeneration.

which means, he can defeat A, mei,tsunade, gaara. HE cannot beat onoki though.

6th gate Guy>Mei-same as above
7th gate Guy>=<A-both are fast as hell and probably won't land any hits, unless AT can hit A or 7gateMP
7th gate Guy>=<Tsunade- she wouldn't be able to hit him but her healing makes her tank damage
7th gate Guy>Onooki-speed and Guy's mid-long range techs wold be the difference.

8th gate obviously beats the kages since it was said to grant power stronger than the 5 kage.

Lee stands no chance, none at all.
What exactly is stronger than a Kage?
Is that stronger than Mei or stronger than Hashirama?
Old Hiruzen or Third Raikage?

He can almost beat every kage when he goes 8th gate... but he'll die after

The mans able to handle two v2 jinchuuriki's at the same time give him a little credit. He's got a good chance at defeating any of the current kages.

Gai can't beat A in neither strength or speed. It's a bad match-up for him, and I don't even see his hidoura hitting A.

Gaara also has a fairly strong defense, and Gai wont have much defense against ninjutsu used by Mei or Onoki. Even if his Hidoura one shots most, the chances for him being one shot before are rather high.

Don't overestimate Gai. U_U People keep thinking his speed is comparable to A and Naruto, it isn't.. Look how beat up he got in the last fight with the wood dragon. He hadn't speed to dodge anything in that battle.

Tsunade he probably beats, but then again she can probably take many punches and regenrate, and if Gai goes 7th gate too fast, he will lose, since Tsunade is durable enough till 7th gate after effects step in..

And 8th gate, well nothing can be said about it so far, since we haven't seen it yet..

An exhausted Gai was able to Blow madara's susanoo away and create quite a large blast, imagine a Serious Gai with intent to kill using his Hirudora.
