How strong is Amaterasu?

Amaterasu (From Sasuke) seems to be able to harm even the Juubi! The Juubi had to split itself to become safe. Does this mean Amaterasu could've killed it if it didn't split? This must be the strongest jutsu

That's flawed ameterasu harmed the juubi buy blind madara shook it off. Well it only hit his armor so there's that but madara said it was weak. Rinnegan ameterasu is stronger however as the flames are noticeably thicker.

It's one of the most powerful jutsus there is. Amaterasu is near instant in activation to the point that you have to be the fastest ninja in the world, perfect chakra absorption skills, or have a Juubi Jin's passive sensing ability to block it.

People will bash it because it's never killed anyone, but neither has Kirin, Kamui, or Chibaku Tensei.
