oru had kabuto (jonin at kakashi lv at the time), kimimaru (wasnt sick at the time), and sasori was the one who set everything up. sasori (former sand shinobi) was the one who set the sneak atk and surprise visit due to his knowings in the village and spys.

so not only did the kaze get suprised atk, he oru also had intel on him, and forbidden jutsus, and elite ninjas that had his back. if any other ninja at the time besides jaraiya faced those odds, they would of died aswell (raikage, tsuchikage, mizukage). so cut the guy some slack.... and give oru and sasori there props...

except I'm pretty sure that Kimimaro was sick at the time, I remember him coughing up blood in some flash back of that little battle......

As Itachi once said, you need special techiniques to defeat Orochimaru. The guy would just keep on respawning out of amere spit for you ignorant fools.

These scenes you two are talking about were filler material. Those scenes of Oro stabbing the kazekage and Kimmimaro collapsing from his sickness were added by the anime, you can look it up.

it was very simple. the 4th kazekage was in a private meeting with orochimaru discussing their plans for war etc... with that he left his guard down and so Orochimaru was able to stab the 4th kazekage in the chest with the Sword of Kusanagi.
