How old are/wer Kushina and Minato?

I wonder how old Minato and Kushina are/were?
Because Genma and the other two of the Hokage goei shotei were taught by minato how to use the hiraishin no jutsu. genma is 33 years old now. Kakashi though is 30 years old.
So by the time naruto was born thy were 17 and 14 years old, which I think 17 is kinda young to be in a team to protect a Hokage, but thats not the point:
I ´m trying to figure out Minatos and Kushinas age by looking at other characters, for example, she must be younger than sasukes Mum, since she already had a child (Itachi), and Saskues mum was about 29 when naruto was born (when she was killed in the uchiha-massacare, she was 35 and Sasuke 6 years old,do the mathxd) I mean both seem kinda young...
any sugesstions?:shrug:

Minato and Kushina were around the same age I think. (They were in the same class when we first saw them in the Academy) So I'm guessing around 22-25 (Just by looking at them again) xd

hmm could be.. but I can´t help it to think that the generation after Minato meaning kakashi, asuma, gei, hurenai had/ are having kids rather late.. and I think Minato married Kushina before he became Hokage, when did he become Hokage when he died at like 20?

Minato graduated from the academy at age 10. Now, assuming that jiraiya became his teacher afterwards, it would mean that Jiraiya became Minato's teacher 24 years before the series started. He would've served as his jounin teacher for no more than 7 years after that point. We know it should be no more than 7 years after that because by the time Minato was about 17 he was a Jounin and was head of Team Minato. About 4 years later, he was fighting in the times of kakashi gaiden. Then he was given the position of Hokage. A year after that he died saving the village from the Kyuubi attack.

So, to summarise:
- 24 years before the series starts jiraiya becomes minato's teacher. Minato = 10 years old... as he just graduated from the academy.
- between 13-14 years before the series starts, fights in the second shinobi war, gets appointed to hokage position over orochimaru. Minato = 21 years old.
- 12 years before series start minato dies at about = 22

Jiraiya pursued Orochimaru 14 years before the start of the series.

Remember, Naruto is 12 when the series starts, and we know that Minato died very shortly after naurto was born. Therefore, 24-12 = 12 years + 10 years (Minato's age at the time jiraiya became his teacher assuming he triainned right out of the academy); 22 years old. And for the record, Nagato was 38 when he died, so he's one year old than Minato.

I think they were near 30 or so.Because they is a little younger then Nagato and he was about 35.

Because you get your jounin teacher as soon as you leave the acadamy; Minato was 10. The only thing i'm unsure about is when Jiriaya returned. What I am 100% sure about though is that Minato was either 22, or in another circumstance, 24 when he died. One of those ages, most likely 22.

seems legitso the 3rd ninja war took place in Kakashi gaiden? Thinking about it in the manga and anime both during kakashi gaiden and during naruto vs pain/minatos death, he looks about the same.. but still so young: 17 teacher of a team and 21 being hokage having a wife, and being all kinds of mature..beat that naruto:noc:

Jiraiya fought Hanzo when Nagato was 7/8. It was after that battle that they found Nagato, Yahiko and Konan as orphans I believe.

Nagato was actually around the same age as Minato - 1 year older MAX. He was 10 when jiraiya left them on their own, and apparently, from the timeline, Jiraiya would have gotten back within the same year and began trainning minato, who was also 10 years old.

This all means that nagato was... (10 +24 + 4 =) 38 years old when he died.
- 10 years from Jiraiya's departure.
- 24 years until the series started.
- 4 years and some months until when Pein was defeated.

Jiraiya was 51 before the time skip, and he turned that age over the course of the series.
They were 50 years old when the series started, and this is confirmed by the manga as it was said that tsunade was 50 years old.

Ok, maybe I havent thought it through properly or my logic fails (you can call me stupid )but you say that Minato died at 22 because he was 10 when he graduated and got his master immediately(and I dont doubt this) but that was 24 years before the beginning of the series because minato died at 22 and he was 10 when he graduated and that was 24 yrs before the start of the series. Isnt it a circle with no end ?
