[Discussion] How many times has Shanks went around the world?

You can't go backwards on the grand line right? So we know he sailed and went through the new world to get a name for himself before he lost his arm to the Sea King so he had to have went around once then. Then he left and sailed off before Luffy set sail a few years later and made it back to MF so we know he sailed around again. So since Shanks has been a captain he's sailed around the world already twice and at least once with Rogers Crew.

He can go backwards in the grandline if you wanted to and Shanks said that he uses the village in the east blue as his base of operations. He mentioned that it’s one of his territories and he comes there frequently.

So far Shanks has shown no limitations when it comes to anything really. He entered the Holy Majories on his own in front of the 5 elders with at least 2 Admirals around and
he didn’t use a group of powerful monsters like Sabo did to infiltrate just by himself.

People still doubt him.

just wondering how hes able to just pop out of the blue so easily makes it sound like he has a df, one that doesn't give any kind of fighting power ups but one that allows him to be the free-est man alive.. in a sense hes JUMPER , he can teleport to any location he is thinking about... a more advance version of kumas 'paw taxi ride'.

I think dozens of times. Shanks has shown that he just doesn't give a **** & doesn't stay put. The guy is everywhere on the cover pages & within the manga. If he frequently visited Luffy's little town, I don't think it's a stretch to say 10+. Even if Shanks could safely pass the Calm Belt, which I think he can with his insane haki, he still strikes me as the kind of guy to casually sail across the world because it's more relaxing than going through the Calm Belt.
