Yea but speed is tricky thing. Just being faster doesn't mean you'll be able to body somebody. Like Neji vs Lee, Lee was fast without the weights but he still couldn't beat Neji. If he'd used the gates no doubt he would have but that type of advantage isn't something guy or Lee would go for. And whoever said Kakashi's speed is = to 6th gate guy is crazy, but each person can enhance their speed a little with chakra. The 8gates are more like a Body activation than just speed enhancer.
