[Question] How many gears will be to many

Unfortunately for Shanks (such a great character), I can see this outcome happening as well.. it will be a tragic day in One Piece, but epic af nonetheless.. lol

Yea and for a character that will probably be in one arc and not get a ton of screen time. As long as luffy gives him the hat back first. And shanks tells him to keep it then he could die. If he does which would suck I don't think he will. He'll definitely won't see luffy again though beforehand for that to happen

6 months of training should be enough, no? They don't even need to do a year or 2 like the previous timeskip, as 3-6 months is still a long time for training. Also, Luffy trained 6 months on his own after learning the basics of haki from Rayleigh, so another 6 months would be great tbh.

That's what I was thinking. The OP world is pretty big, Oda can just make it so that getting to Wano takes a month or few, and they train during that.

Idk why but I've always had this vision of Shanks being killed by BB, and later on, either right before or after Luffy becomes Pirate King, Luffy ends up placing the Straw Hat where Shanks is buried..

OR, Luffy ends up giving the Straw Hat to Shanks and Makino's son.. how would you feel if that ends up happening??

Do the have a kid? Would be cool to see the hat passed on but when one piece ends I kinda want it to be over for good not have a next generation like naruto. It's been running for so long the ending needs to leave no questions behind.

Oh I agree 1000% with you about not wanting a spin-off like Boruto..

If the Straw Hat did get passed down to Shanks and Makino's son I'm not suggesting that they carry on the story with him or anything like that.. just saying it could be shown during the pages of us seeing other things happening in the world of One Piece at the end of the story.. cause I really hope that Oda shows us what everybody is doing, you know?

Agreed, I always hope even at the end of a movie let alone a Manga, we get a recap of all the characters, which doesn't happen even half the time, so I completely agree with oda showing us everyone. I think he will, hell he has with albasta and vivi plenty of times xD

Yeah for real! He definitely has with Alabasta/Vivi lol and a lot of other characters too.. one thing I love about reading One Piece is how sometimes we get those cover stories showing us what characters around the world are up to, or their reactions to something that Luffy and the SH's did.. xd

Imo Gear 5 will be the last gear.

Pre-skip Luffy got G2 and G3. Post-skip follows a simiar pattern to Pre-skip in many ways so he’ll get G4 and G5 then be done with it.
