How long will this war be?

Ever wondered about that? ( I obviously mean within the Narutoverse )

I mean this thing is called "Great Shinobi WORLD WAR".

I'm assuming it will take longer than a couple of month for either side to win it, or not?

Realistically, this should take a couple of years, shouldn't it?

Naruto eventually has to mature during this war since he will most likely be promoted to Hokage after the war ended and the series will end.

I'm not suggesting another big timeskip but I see some minor ones down the road... A couple of months here and there maybe. It would make sense to me.

Just tell me what you guys think

i actually do think that there is going to be another big time skip. I am actually seeing one of two things happening. One, Naruto fights Sasuke but ends in a draw somehow, or two, naruto has two fight an epic battle against zombie jiraiya, if he is actually dead. But after that, i am seeing anoth big time skip. At least i really hope so.

Mhmm I don't see it being that long. I can see Madara just sending all of the Zetsus and zombies out at once. They might start to pwn some noobs then Naruto and Bee will come along and show them who's boss. The end of the war could possiably be the end of the series T.T

Naruto will surely have epic fight with Sasuke and Jiraiya (HOPEFULLY) and will end up in a pitiful state, leading to a long retreat alongs with some Knoha Ninjas. Frankly, I root from head to toe that another big time skip happens...

i hope that this might take around 1 year or more.. becoz naruto will have to evntually learn about his origin and about the uzumakis and he might also learn about his father's transportation techniques.. and he might have to fight with all the legends like the third, jiraiya and there is also a chance to fight minato... so this will go long and eventually the series will end with the end of the war and naruto will become the hokage..

Ok since naruto shortened the time to learn a jutsu from 3 years to 3 weeks i don't think this will be a long war... i don't even understand the whole war thing, madara could have captured the 2 hosts in an instant without much difficulty, maybe only with Killer Bee.
Why do i think the war won't last long? because it's molre like 1v1 not a war, it's madara and his allies vs the rest. It's not like the last 3 where every nation fought for itself.
I would predict a time skip after naruto looses the kyubi.

It'll probably last a long time since so many characters were returned to life and the likelihood of seeing each of them in battle. Usually most fights take at least a month if not longer.

The only way I'd see it not taking a long time is if Kabuto is spying for the Allied Shinobi and has taken over control of the Zetsu. Then it'd be back to being Madara, Zetsu, and Sasuke vs. all.

It cannot last years for the Alliance,people die in war, you then have to train someone to replace everyone you lost Madara and Kabuto just have to snap their fingers and they have a replacement, living people have to be selected and train that takes time. If it were years the Alliance would lose.

ok here is my view of the war.

i think that the begining battle of the war will result a large loss for the alliance but also loses to akatsuki, the unity of the shinobi grand army will disapear and everything will go back as it was every1 fights for him self there will be several fronts entier countries in danger of being destroyed then we see an time skip of maybe 2 years and then we see that most villages have fall under akatsuki armies only konoha is left with 1000 and 1000 of refuges from the other villages and countries (naruto in the meanwhile has been hiden by konoha and is under training and bee was captured in the first battle) many of our favorite charackters will die in or after time skip and then when konoha is the last not occupied place in the shinobi world and is just about to be destroyed by madara, kabuto and sasuke naruto emerges cooler then ever xd

A war has reasons, in our case to capture Bee and Naruto, once that's done the war starts to end. Madara would probably use Zetsu to buy some time until he is ready. That's if casting a genjutsu on the whole world is really his plan.

sasuke gets tired of waiting and goes outside sees itachi kabuto turns on sasuke after
sasuke gets pissed beats wipes floor with madara and kabuto
battles with naruto for title of hokage
each battle is epic so that means 2 mangas for each
