It took me 10 minutes to drop it, i'm sure.

Was the beginning too childish and weird looking? Hard to get used to it? If that's the cast then I cant blame you. Its way back in the 1990s and it was originally supposed to be a pure kids show. It wasn't until 1999(manga) that the author decided to make the show more serious.

The animation is still a major factor when it comes to watch anime in my eyes. One piece animation is just weird and awful, i can't get used to it. I've tried 3-4 times and i just can't watch the first episode.

Me too. But the last two movies are nice as #$%#.

It took me a month to catch up to the timeskip and I only watched the anime upto that point. I may have fast forwarded at some points though during skypiea or that nuro nuro beam headcase.

I caught up back during the summer of the year I joined this site. It took me a month to catch up (well actually less than that when I think about it). At the time I would read anywhere from 20-30 chapters of one piece a day and It's til this day my most marathon'ed manga. after that I've never been able to catch up with a 600+ chapter manga in such a time because I simply was never hooked like I was with one piece.

I read the manga over summer many, many years ago. I've never done a watch-through of the anime though.

OP readers get this mad? One of the reasons to avoid this piece of fiction.

Its not about being mad, but u cant deny that ur post was completely irrelevant to the thing OP asked, oh and why would u result in insulting the series just because I reacted in that way to u, and trying to include all OP fans based in one fan who thinks that ur post is childish? Yeah, u should definitely grow up.

You cant be serious? Did you sleep at all?

I didn't have much to do that summer
When I get in to stuff I tend to over do it and to be honest I didn't start from the beginning. I began at Logue town. I remembered the rest from when I was younger

I would like to add, I came to know there was something like anime and manga in 2011. I was a big DBZ fan in around 2004 or something..... after that the only series I took liking to was Naruto that brought me here and here is where I came to know about One piece :p

I started the anime in 2003. I can't remember how long it took to catch up to latest episode, but I remember that I watched around 40 episodes per day.

Many animes start childish but they have from acceptable animation to awesome animation. It's weird from what i'm used to watch.

Thank you for your mature answer, bajram should learn from you.

I think they use a lot of budget when it comes to movies.

So what do you think about post #9

why didn't you say anything to him then? I mean HxH on a OP thread? Wow! my post was still relevant to OP but poster #9 wasn't and you didn't say anything, this clearly shows that you wanted to pick a mini fight with me. So be gone.

The animation is that way because well the Manga artist has a unique way of drawing, it is not the animators fault. Also look at the gif in my sig and tell me if you like it.
Trust me, the story grows on you so much you'll forget about any animational or charachter design flaws.
I started one piece, and I really liked both Zoro and Luffy, but from the spoiler pics I had seen I was pretty damn sure I would never like "that long nosed guy" but I grew used to him and right now he is one of my Favourites. But even after that guy was introduced, I was absolutely sure there is no way in hell I would like "this guy with weird balloon like hands" but that guy was cool too.
Then came the part where I was like "that skeleton will never be my favourite no matter what" but I was proven wrong once again.

Trust me I used to be choosy about anime quality too, but the story makes up for it and so does the music and humour. I will therefore not suggest manga, stick to the anime, you will get feels like you have never known before.
