Hyugas are known for their superior chakra control lol. Just cuz Tsunade and Sakura mastered byakugou doesn't mean that their chakra control is superior to a hyuga for sure. Who knows if the hyugas tried learning the byakugou many of them might just succeed.
Simply put there's no direct comparison between Tsunade/Sakura's chakra control and a hyuga's chakra control. So for you to say that Tsunade/Sakura's chakra is superior to a hyuga is nothing but fanfic unless you can prove it.

Medical ninja’s are renowned for their chakra control, no Hyuuga has been known to have the Byakugou and that’s a a fact, Byakugou is also the pinnacle of chakra control storing chakra in one spot for three years is something a Hyuuga hasn’t been show to do. CES and mystical palm technique require precision and extensive knowledge. Quite frankly, this isn’t even at isnt even arguable because Tsuande and Sakura > any Hyuuga in chakra control. Anything else is fan fanfic because the pinnacle of chakra control is the Strength Of A Hundred seal.

Huuga: All of the above (where applies).


They've suffered from a lack of focus in the manga, badly, but when they get the chance, they shine, as we saw when:
1. Neji's chakra shield, emits chakra towards incoming attacks, like Gaara's sand
2. Neji's defense final defense against Kodaimaru's last attack, where he focused his chakra on exactly his blind-spot, ensuring he didn't die.
3. [The Last] Hinata's reboot of Naruto's chakra.

a note on 3: this feat is different from how Sakura did it while Naruto was unconscious. She did a simple chakra restoration, which is why it took her so long, and nearly killed her. Hinata's technique was more like what Naruto did to the SA - the 'lock and key' hypothesis, where she ensured that her 'hamura' chakra blended perfectly with Naruto's 'Kurama' chakra, allowing Naruto to immediately go into KCM. And Hinata isn't even the most talented Hyuga.

Nobody is downplaying Sakura's CC. We all understand that she has top class CC. The thing is, Hyuga are genetically capable of pulling off CC feats that most others can't. Their abilities change the game completely, and shouldn't be compared in a head-to-head comparison with the likes of Sakura.

Maybe Kishimoto felt like he had fleshed the Hyuuga's out enough. Not adding abilities to the Hyuga doesn't indicate a sign of deliberate character sabotage, he just wasn't interested anymore. Considering that the main rival of the MC was an Uchiha, it's no surprise the Hyuga weren't given all these powers. It's not restriction, it's just pointless and a waste of the small energy Kishimoto had to put unnecessary spotlight on a clan that has nothing to do with the story at large.

Hyuga is a fodder clan with irrelevant characters, unlike other strong clans. That's why Kishimoto didn't care for them. Not because of fanfic restriction, but because they're too much of fodders to pay attention to.

I kind of agree with making Hinata kishi really downgraded the Hyuga clan and her portrayal wasn't good either concerned with warm hands and getting excited by Kurama's chakra. Neji got sidelined and turned into a sacrificial lamb, Hanabi Hime was to OP with her purest eyes and super prodigy talent she would've solo'd everybody so giving her more screen time was a big no no.

Have to say hyuga is boring and uninteresting in the most literal sense, no wonder kishi thought it was a pointless time waste to give them buff unnecessarily, not because he hated hyuga or anything. Byakugan has no emotion or anything whatsoever, im actually surprised hyuga has fans, whats so beautiful about that boring eye and clan and boring clan flashback? Uchihas had a cool flashback and im not hating or anything, madara vs hashi would be the most epic fight ever, was it ever shoen on-screen, but what do hyuga have to compare to that? Nothing. Just one-dimensional no emotional showing 1-D charas. Like in a very honest point of view. Every other clan including non-dojutsu clans are more hyping and approachable than hyuga.

I do agree kishi completely flat-out ignored hyuga, they should've gotten some attention since they're part of the "great three". Though I think the boring-ness was too much for kishimoto, maybe he regretted creating them, since he was trying his maximum to eradicate hyuga from the series, first eradicating hinata, then eradicating neji.

How was the Hyuuga nerf when they are primarily Taijutsu fighters incorporating their Gentle Fist? BTW their genes are dilute because they are not direct descendants of Kaguya, but Hamura.

what you said make no sense kaguya is hamura mother so there is no diluting of their genes because hyuuga dont marry outside the clan except hinata it not like the senju and uzumaki where the uzumaki are water down version of senju

There was no point to buff up a clan that served no deeper purpose in the story at that current time. Kishi did not deliberately sabotage the Hyuga's development.
