Actually we assumed that the madara itachi was talking about was tobi. For all you know the madara that helped him kill the uchiha was really the real madara.
I think the real madara actually died quiet recently because he knew nagato and nagato is nowhere knew that old

Itachi will probably flip the f*** out. Which will probably make him wanna get done with Kabuto sooner. Also i m sure this will probably make sasuke 2nd guess being on Tobi's side, he probably will second guess what he said about Itachi too. None the less Itachi would want his bro, and Naruto handle the situation. He would most likely not want to stray from his mission.
