Because old people and their society have influenced and brainwashed everyone that shakespeare is good. They think he was the best writer in his time so we have to say that too.

I remember Macbeth from Jimmy Neutron .
Watch the one that was made by Playboy productions or something, man. I watched it in English class and it's bloody and violent as shit. There's another version with Professor Xavier in it, but it was weird because they set the time period in like WW2 Russia or something but still used original dialogue.

Shakespeare is good because he makes clever poetic remarks in every line basically

however his stories themselves arent really that impressive

nor are the "in-depth" characters

Now I'm excited , I'll be sure to do that .

That is literally the only form of Macbeth I have experienced. I refuse to believe Macbeth didn't have a red lightsaber.
I'm with you broski .

Another poem by him (I think it was him) that I liked was him describing his wife or something but saying how ugly and disgusting she was and pointing out all these flaws with her, but at the end said how he loved her or something Lol

Shakespeare is good because he could make raunchy jokes that just completely kill the competition:

"If love be blind, love cannot hit the mark.
Now will he sit under a medlar tree
And wish his mistress were that kind of fruit
As maids call medlars when they laugh alone.
O Romeo, that she were! Oh, that she were
An open arse, and thou a poperin pear"

Translation: "Romeo, what you need is a girl who does ****."

That was an amazing film! Saw that, and a modern and somewhat comical take on Macbeth in English. Both versions were great.

Well I usually dont get the comedies but the tragedies are rather good (even though the plot may be simple) only because the way the characters spoke .... Overall he is a rather good playwright.
